As the product of an interracial marriage, I am very grateful no one was particularly upset when my Hispanic father married my Caucasian mother. I look much more like my father than my mother--and I always get a bit of amusement out of introducing people to my mother for the first time. XD

Though people talking to me in Spanish as soon as they see me gets a bit annoying. >/ Just because I look like other people that speak that language doesn't mean that I speak it, goshdarnit.

31. Yeah, I do too. I love well-written, sorta realistic mpreg. Oh, and crack mpreg because everyone likes a laugh.

Over the top romanticized mushy sugary-sweet mpreg can go to hell because the best thing about mpreg is the character's reaction to being knocked up, and that's only good if he's IN CHARACTER and not some weepy uke thing.

50. It's not the fact that I would be less of a fan...it's the fact that I might not be able to tolerate the constant, unfair bashing of those characters that is present in pretty much EVERY group of star wars fans I've ever met. It's like they make a game of bashing them. While I know it's all probably just a joke...I feel the need to defend them, but I cant, because they'll just gang up on me...and it just bothers me a lot when that happens.

Honestly, the fans who DIDN'T like Jar-Jar can go screw themselves. He was a HILARIOUS character and I loved him, even if he was annoying and kinda stupid. I liked that about him.

And ewoks are SOCUTE.

Honestly, Star Wars fandom scares the crap out of me. I disregard everything that isn't in the movies (as in the novels) and just watch them in happiness. <3

22. :( Sorry to hear you're in a tough situation. I hope that someday you will be able to get into a situation where your parents' approval does not matter and that you and whatever partner you choose will be able to live and love together.

(As for the Ed/Noa pairing, I think a lot of the reason you run into resistance in the fandom is not the interracial aspect, but er, the fact that canonically Noa kind of mind-raped him XD;;; I think it could lead to interesting fic personally , but I don't think I could handle it unless the thought-invasion issue was addressed f^^ )

My mother's a hardcore conservative almost-homophobic Christian and she's also freakishly into Xena. (She's....weird. Yeah.) AND she loved the way their relationship unfolded. She even shares your sentiments on the subject. I was never into the series that much myself, but sometimes I would watch it with her and pretty much every time they were in a scene together, especially in later episodes, there was just... such a nondescript chemistry between them. It was very, very obvious to me that they were meant together from the beginning, and this was coming from a totally seperate area of my mind than the "OMGSLASH" part. (I almost exclusively slash males, anyway. inb4yaoifangirlbawww) They're definitely soulmates, that's for sure. I wholeheartedly agree with every word of this secret.
