43. I still hate Minmay, but her type of character is the one that always ends up being my favorite, the irony. I don't know why I can't stop hating her, I should like her, she's the kind of character I love.

65. I don't know, she doesn't seem like the Mary Sue type, she's not perfect, not everybody loves her, it's not like she has the leader of every alien race they come into contact with fall in love with her, the main male character is not in love with her.

In a nutshell, she's not StarGate's official Mary Sue, Carter.

2. Switch the names 'Matt' and 'Near,' replace 'siblings' with 'friends' and you'll have my opinion on the matter. I will never understand why everyone OTPs Matt and Mello, no matter how many times people try to explain it to me. Then again, a lot of people could say the same about Mello and Near, so.

I'd agree with you, but I think that it's really great that he seems to be in part responsible for getting a lot of people, particularly young people, to really start to pay attention to politics. If the effect lasts, I don't mind seeing an abundance of Obama/Clinton smutfics and photoshops and what-have-you.

It could just be my age, but I find this election year to be horribly exciting.

Aside from that, the man's way of speaking is incredible. Have you seen his debates? Daaaaaamn.

46. Keep watching. You can argue for any Utena pairing (though Anthy/Utena come stronger). Touga is less douchebag-ish in the end of the series (but not as his movie!self who is like Jesus in goodness or something, or his more romantic manga self), Akio is... Akio. Anthy's not exactly a saint either, she's a manipulative little h0r, nearly as bad as Akio is. Pretty much everyone in the series is kind of... douchebag ish, exception being (most of the times) Utena, Ruka (I believe after Utena, Ruka ranks second as Prince figure), Juri, Miki and Wakaba.

8. Aw, you have the same Trigun ships as I do, and you think about them in much the same way! I will, however, apologize on my own behalf about "people getting down on shippers," I'm primarily a gen fan and know that I have, even the het ships at some point. In my defense, it's because I've had bad experiences with "rabid shippers" (and in the case of het shipping, I've read a lot of fanfics where it wasn't handled well). I sit on the fringes of "shipping culture."

31. Well, it amuses me if it's canon and in a sci-fi and/or magical universe, comes with a het ship and played for laughs (See "The Fairly OddParents"). I personally don't see how anyone can take it seriously, but I don't see the sense in people getting down on people enjoying it for laughs.

70. I'm quite straight and I used to love Xena way back when. I didn't think they were lesbians - I thought that was just something the producers teased/played with the audience about (they actually made them a couple after the series was done, right)? I mean, I liked the show, though I "didn't get it" but it's not like there were any magical lesbian vibes coming through the TV to make me gay.

Well, that's understandable. I've had problems with shippers too [stop telling me why it's awesome, I don't give a shit, I'm not gonna change my opinion]. I just hate that when I mention pairings, a lot of people have the 'Eeew, a shipper' attitude about it. XD;; It's nice to see I'm not the only one with the view of Trigun ships that I have. ^^
