75. It's been a while since I read it, but as I remember--the fact that the murder itself and who actually was responsible for it were left as ambiguous as they were was. . .the point. The action itself meant less than the meaning it had for each of the brothers, the guilt each of them thought he bore for it: Dostoyevsky is all about the inner life and the subjective, anyhow--he's not much of one for ~*~hard objective fact~*~ about anything. To some degree each of the brothers had 'sinned in his heart' towards their father (as Jimmy Carter would say >.>); the guilt and the sin of his murder was attached to all of them in some way.

58. I agree with everything in this post. 100%. I read some of the more unusual yaoi pairings, but it doesn't hold much appeal for me. And P/E wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so ridiculously disproportionate to the rest of the fandom.

There are quite a few gen/het/yuri prompts that haven't been filled, if you go to the list of incomplete requests (http://kinkgoeshere.livejournal.com/516.html). But I'm worried everyone will lose interest because their prompts aren't getting filled, and that's not fair.

There was talk about closing new requests down for a weekend and having a big writing event, but nothing ever came of it. Maybe we should try again to get something like that organized.

I love Nathan Barley, but mostly because I think Julian is amazing in it. It makes me smile in a kind of awkward way. I can understand people disliking it - it's full of obnoxious characters and unhappy endings and obscure 'comedy'. Don't feel bad for disliking it!

I think Julian might have been the only reason I kept trucking through after realizing that I really didn't find the show funny. He was brilliant, and it hurt to watch Dan almost systematically give up. If the humor hadn't clashed with me so badly, and if I hadn't been disturbed by the intensity of my loathing for Nathan, I might have been able to enjoy it as a drama rather than a comedy.

Nathan Barley hmmmm....Well honestly,I always liked it.Though I can understand why people wouldn't like it.For me at the time,it was something different and new.Maybe it's just an aquired taste.It did make me rather uncomfortable in places though....maa despite that, i'm a fan :) You're not alone though,all my friends hated it hah

This isn't the journal I use for my cosplaying stuff, so take me on faith. I'm 27 and have been cosplaying for 7 years. The best part about being an older cosplayer? Income flow! You get better fabrics, better machinery, and the crowd that age is just so awesome. Do it. Do the cosplay!
