The problem is that a lot of trans women think they have a right to date lesbians. It doesn't matter if they have a micro penis or 10 inches. NO ONE has the right to expect sex or a relationship with someone else. And they because someone doesn't want a partner with a penis doesn't give anyone the right to call someone a name like transphobic.

I dunno, OP. I'm sort of torn on this. It's not okay to deny someone their identity, but then, to a lot of people genitals are a HUGE factor in if they'd have sex with them or not...and that's also okay.

I was a little unclear on this secret. Are you saying that she doesn't like transwomen in the sense of not thinking they are real women? Or are you just saying she's not attracted to them. If so, people are allowed to be attracted to the things they are attracted to. You can't make someone be attracted to someone they aren't. And genitals are a big part of attraction for some people, and there is nothing wrong with that.

But if it is the former, then she does sound awful. I'm just confused by the wording because I don't think not being attracted to someone is transphobic and it sounded like you were maybe talking about that?

There's a lot to dissect here, and I'm not sure how I feel about some of it, but conflating transmen to butch lesbians is pretty dang bad for someone who's trying to comment on and analyze trans issues.

So, in my opinion, genitals do not equal gender. However, genitals can be an important factor in someone's sexual desire for an individual.

I, for example, am not a big fan of penis, though I consider myself wholly bisexual and am attracted to men and women equally. However, this usually means that I find myself more attracted to men and women who don't have penises. So typically cis females, trans guys who haven't had the op, and trans women who have.

The presence of a penis does not in ANY way dictate that person's gender to me. A trans women is a women, regardless of genitals. And trans guy is a man, regardless of genitals. But just in terms of what intimate bits I want near my intimate bits, I have a preference.

I do find it kind of weird and insulting, though, that people who identify as 100% lesbian would say that their sexual attraction to 'vagina' validates them being attracted to trans men - especially trans men who look very outwardly masculine.

I've only watched a few of her videos, so I hadn't run into this. But from what I've seen, it seems like she intentionally gets a bit pushy with the women she has on her videos. She wants to make something attention-getting.

That said, I think YouTubers like her don't go on YouTube to be perfect. They go on to be themselves. They may have regressive attitudes, or stupid attitudes, but they're putting themselves out there.

Well, the video poster sounds a wee bit hypocritical it seems. But necessarily being a lesbian and liking a man is invalidating of someone's manliness. Sexuality is odd and dynamic and we identify as what we feel comfortable with and as others said - no one is obligated to date or like anyone. Seen plenty of binary cis folks who are still solely gay or lesbian but with someone of opposite gender that is also cis (not meaning in a toxic way or because they need to).

I do find it strange that people see a random person on the street and envision their genitals without seeing them :P. I see walking genitals when someone says they are vagina-sexual as above or such. I'm immature. And I do like dicks. But if I see the most gorgeous bloke in my perception whom I later learn is a woman - nope, attraction dies. Andrieja Pejic is a good example for me.

Ummm... butch lesbians may not be the same as trans men, but many trans men are "butch", and just so happen to choose a similar wardrobe to many butch lesbians, similar hairstyles and mannerisms. When I hung out in the scene as a butch lesbian there were also plenty of butch lesbians who were questioning their gender identity (me included) and some of them would later come out as trans. So it's not like there is no overlap in female-sexed butch lesbian and transman identities.
