I saw this as the bunny/herbivores being women, the fox/predators being men OR the herbivores being white and the predators being black, like the bit with the tiger on the bus and the bunny looking scared? I didn't see the muslim thing at all.

1. President lion really isn't Christian symbolism

2. Making him an eagle would establish the movie as so much more American than they wanted it to be perceived.

3. Making him an eagle would also violate the rules of the world they developed. There were no anthropomorphic birds or lizards, only mammals.

Not accounting for everything else that's wrong with this secret, the important point here is that Zootopia is Mammals-Only. Eagles wouldn't fly there.

Look, I know Aslan is Jesus, but that doesn't mean that lions are an important Christian symbol. They aren't. (In fact, Lewis probably wouldn't have used a lion if everyone's natural reaction to lions was "Christian symbol".)
