What "character"? Is 'WOW MATT WAS SO COOL' the most you took away from reading/watching Death Note? Matt's an empty shell with a nice face. I know I'm not saying anything new here, but most people don't dislike Matt-- They dislike fans like you.

I'm sorry but the movie version of 1984 was terrible.
Absolutely terrible.

If I had to choose between the film version of 1984 and V for Vendetta to depict the point the book is trying to make? I would choose V for Vendetta. But that might just be me.

WORD. I used to be able to find such deep meanings in their songs, like the downfall of capitalism and so forth, but this new album...there's really nothing.
I wrote a fan letter to them about the essay I wrote about the connection, but when I learned about their newest shitty album and the dropping of the "!", I lost respect for them. I don't know if I want to send that letter after all ;_;

5- Agreed. He's really annoying and when I play with people around the dorm all I hear is how good he is. Then I use Olimar and kick the shit out of them and the usually STFU :3 It's beginners luck I tell you!

If you think V for Vendetta is just a ripoff of 1984, then you're missing out, my friend. There's a plethora of books/movies/graphic novels about dystopian futures where the media/everyday lives are monitored/controlled by a utilitarian government. Each one of them is worthwhile in its own right. I've read 1984. I've seen V for Vendetta. I've also seen Equilibrium, which I think is my favorite out of all three.

I suggest you open yourself to the possibility that things can have similar conceits and still each be good.

I'm glad you can step back from your feelings and see that, rationally, a single man cannot be trusted with the power to kill others as he chooses, on a whim.

I hope you mean the ideal that he immediately gave up when he started killing indiscriminately, and showed that he was willing to kill his family if they discovered his secret (despite their innocence).

20. Seeing as there was nothing even close to 'domestic tenderness' in their relationship, I think you just like the idea of gay daddies more than these characters as gay daddies. Matt/Mo is one thing, fluffy happy family Matt/Mo is another, OOC thing entirely.

11. I openly hate bad baby names, but I love Optimus Prime, so there's a bit of a conflict here. D: Like a poster before me said, I think Optimus would make a pretty cool middle name if you end up having a boy. But giving the poor kid that as a first name would just be downright unfair.
