You know how it's very common for people to be afraid of or have phobias about certain things (like certain small animals and bugs, or certain social situations)?

What are some of those commonly-considered-scary things that don't scare you in the slightest.

I have almost no fear of water, even freaky deep water or water with sharks and shit. Blame it on a childhood spent in the town they filmed Jaws in lol

Rats and mice. Everyone else shrieks about how disgusting they are and I'm there, cooing over the little rodents.

If certain media that people get scared by count:
Most if not all horror podcasts. For me, a lot of them alternate between "Yeah... not actually scary" and "more gross than scary" and I rarely find a story in one of the anthology type podcast that actually creeps me out. Same with horror books - reading horror never scares me.

It's strange, though, in the case of podcasts. I'm usually someone who is very fixated on voices and audio stuff (take the sound away from a creepy movie and it loses all creep factor), but horror podcasts (or audio books etc.) leave me cold for the most part.
Especially some fairly popular ones like The Black Tapes are just... boring and not scary at all.

I don't have a fear of clowns the way others do. I can certainly see where they'd be creepy and frightening in certain circumstances/situations, sure, but just seeing a clown in and of itself doesn't bother me.

Ghosts and supernatural shit, because I don't believe in it.

Granted, being alone in scary abandoned houses at night would terrify me, but not because of ghosts. Because of the ax murderers waiting there for victims.

Snakes (at least the non-venomous kind, might feel differently if I lived in an area where there were lots of venomous snakes)

Bees (srsly idgi at all)

Wasps

Carpenter ants

OTOH I shit myself about spiders and cockroaches.

All of them.

Heights, flying, deep water, blood, needles, hospitals, spiders, snakes, being alone in the woods...etc. You can name any common fear; I don't have it. I don't really have any uncommon ones either. I also tend to remain uncommonly collected in emergency situations, and it's really hard to intimidate me physically.

It's not that I'm incapable of experiencing fear (I've definitely been afraid for my life a few times), it's just that my tolerance is a lot higher than most peoples', so to speak. Ditto for pain tolerance and inability to faint. My brain just doesn't relinquish control very easily.

I love non-venomous snakes, and even the rattlers I encounter sometimes on my walks don't inspire anything stronger than "Oh, hello, I will walk on the other side of the path, then."

A lot of critters: rodents, spiders - I'm even cool with snakes if they're non-poisonous.

Travelling alone - obviously I do basic safety precautions, but I'm pretty comfortable even in places/cultures that are strange to me

Getting fired - I'll try to do a decent job, but I won't kiss ass, or do anything to goes against my principles just to keep a job. I've been fucked or money before, and I'll live through it again if I need to.

Bumblebees. My massive unyielding loathing of all insects ever aside, bumblebees are adorable and they're so docile they even let you pet them. They're like tiny puppies with stingers.

Snakes. Snakes are so cute and pretty.

Even poisonous snakes, I'm only intellectually afraid of. Like, "oh yeah I know if you bite me I'm in big trouble" but just the sight of them without any actual danger or threat doesn't elicit any reaction.

Dying

Once I'm dead, I won't know it so I don't worry about it. What will happen will happen. I won't have to deal with the fallout. I worry much, much more about someone I love dying.

Walking/using public transport at night while being a woman.
I might get an uneasy feeling about it sometimes, but that's it.

Bugs. None of them terrify me (except ants for some reason). I think it was growing up in a country that actually had giant spiders and flying cockroaches and such.

Snakes. I love snakes. Reptiles are some of my favorite things. They are adorable and not scary at all.

No needle phobia or blood phobia at all. In fact, I do better if I can actually watch what they are doing since I get more nervous when I don't know what is going on.

I think mice and rats are adorable and not scary at all.

The dark doesn't scare me at all. I love being in my house with the lights off.

Clowns. I don't even get this one. How are clowns scary?

Paranormal things don't scare me at all. Mostly I think they are nonsense, but I'm fascinated by them in a way where I think they are great stories. But not scary.

Rodents, spiders, bees, needles, the dark, and clowns don't scare me. I really like clowns, actually. I think they're funny, but maybe I've just always had good experiences with clowns.
