I watch fansubs. I watch fansubs of a lot more series than I actually buy. I do this with american shows, too, so it's not like I'm singling japan out on this.

The companies do not lose money when I do this. They never had my viewership in the first place! If the series is good, when I have money and it is licensed and released IN AMERICA, I will purchase it. If a show is bad, I'm not going to spend my money on it. Why would I want to send the message that this is the sort of show I want more of? Fuck that noise. Again, I treat american shows this way, too.

Somebody please explain to me how I am robbing the pockets of the industry by not giving them money that wasn't theirs in the first place, and in fact giving them more money overall because of it.

5- I don't buy DVD-s because I can't. I have to fly to fucking ENGLAND to get a glimpse of an anime DVD, and I don't exactly live in Wales or smth either >:/ Maybe you american people can walk in a random DVD shop and pick your favourite animes up any time, but we in the other countries don't have this opportunity. Do you say I should quit watching anime and fangirling over it just because I live in a shitty country?

Dead horse is dead. I buy DVDs. Probably more than you do. If the big anime companies start folding like some predict, at least that will give the industry the kick in the pants it needs to start re-thinking the way they do business.

Personally speaking, I don't like how anime has begun to depend on the international market, because when it depends on the international market it also caters to the international market, and then you get shit like the Ninja Scroll TV series, guh. If it folds, it folds. Nobody's gonna die if that happens. :P

Because most of guys are actually reading Hitman Reborn for the plot (what would happen to the characters ? what is the arcobaleno secret ? what Irie Soichi and Byakuran are planning ? how will Tsuna beat up Byakuran ?)

Amano-sensei did really great to set a valuable plot which goes with the beautiful art (beautiful, but nothing more) and you found nothing else than being presomptuous !?
After reading I realized that I actually LOOSE respect for people like you.
