43. On the one hand, I totally know where you're coming from, since it makes me twitchy every time I see that "warning," too. On the other hand, in one of my fandoms, people regularly "warn" for het, and just the other day I saw a fic that included "first person POV" and "present tense" under "warnings," so I have to think some people have a very different idea of what warnings on fic mean than I do.

I think the OP means that he really could do it the right way. He's just that good of an actor. I think I agree; he's done many different types of roles over the years. He's not an actor that tends to be typecast.

You came in during the third season, didn't you?

The first two seasons are great. The first is really best of all, the second isn't so bad, but third season is when it all went downhill. Probably because they tried to do it at the same time as the movie. The movie looks awesome (though I'd rather it be animation than just all CGI) but it caused the season to be crap.

The art for it is also pretty good. It has it's own style. As I said, the third season is where it went down for art (especially when it came to inconsistencies with coloring and even showing a character topless). Third season is where it went down for being consistant as well. Otherwise, it is on track.

Yeah, I can talk a mile about Winx Club. I love it. You know there's a great community for it. I don't care if I'm made fun of for it, that show is great.

That aside, ah, I want to say don't let myself and dual_avi liking Reborn a lot get in the way of you at least trying it out....but you shouldn't have to apologize for it, either. It's your reason, right?

I haven't really been able to write for Kingdom Hearts much lately, so I'm sorry about that. But I just write what makes me happy. ♥ Be patient and wait for my muse to come back, I guess? dskfksdjaf I don't even know what I'm saying aaaagh why midterms. Anyway. ♥

43. ....But isn't it logical to let the readers know what they're in for? You are catering to a certain audience, after all, and they want to know whether to click on or avoid your fic. I usually just list off the characters in fanfic and assume people are intelligent enough to know whether they're boys or girls, but if I warned for sexual orientations I would warn for slash. And het. And shoujo ai. All of it, you know? I don't think it's about discriminating or anything. :/

I said this in another comment to someone else, but I've never seen het warned for. Maybe it happens in other fandoms, but I've never ever seen someone warn for het in any fandom I've been in -- it's only same-sex pairings. Like you say, it should be obvious from the pairing. I think warning for it, especially if you only do it selectively like only for slash and femmeslash, is unnecessary.

Hey there. I used to be a part of that RP. I can't speak for everyone else of course, but usually the reason I voted out without offering to give concrit is -- because I SUCKED at giving it. Hard. I have a problem properly putting my feelings on written pieces into words. This wasn't just for RP apps. This is even if people asked me to beta fanfics for them. I just do not give good concrit. At the end of an app, I just either knew I liked it or I didn't. Nothing too much more complex than that. Usually other people were MUCH better at pointing things out than me, so I thought it was better to leave it to them.

If I was feeling really really really down about an out vote in a round? I'd not vote at ALL for the rest of the batches because I didn't WANT my mood to effect how I judged apps.

If you assume the worst of people, life's going to be pretty unnecessarily miserable. :/

67. Yes. I agree with you. I hate that fanart gets so much less recognition than fic. Perhaps it's because fic takes a long time to read, whereas most people just glance at art. I often wonder if I should bother putting effort into stuff, because would people appreciate something more if it's coloured, as opposed to just lineart, when all they're going to see is 'a picture of character x' or 'characters x and y kissing'?

For the record, I would gladly trade all the literary skill I have (including the bits that earn high scores on tests and help me with applications) to be able to draw well. When I see art I think is beautiful, I save it and stare at it for long periods of time -- and tell the artist how amazing it is, if I can.

And from what I've seen, people do tend to take more notice of colored work -- it seems more complete. Also, a detailed/atmospheric background really makes me take notice, since so few people bother.

59. I hate to say it, but I think that's the only part I will care about actually watching. That and Neville. Fred Weasley is my absolute favourite character and has been for seven years now. I love him to bits. I cried, loudly, for over half an hour when he died, and wandered around listelessly for days afterward. But I'll never get over how, despite my dissatisfaction with everything else in the books, that scene packed more of an emotional wallop for me than anything else I'd ever read. It was amazing. I only hope they do it right. And have Percy with him when he dies.

It just means I'm a flake who tends to assume that people know they can ask me if they want to... which isn't the case, I know, I just forget sometimes. Personally, though, I always assume that it's okay to ask someone for concrit unless they specifically say it isn't, rather than taking the lack of a specific offer as a refusal to give crit.

... Unless you're talking about people who vote and then don't comment at all, in which case never mind. (But I still don't think those people hate everyone and want them to fail -- it's more likely they're distracted/busy/feeling lazy or something like that.)
