I agree actually. There are a few people that constantly vote out on everything and never drop notes about why. How are we supposed to know what standards to meet if they don't bother explaining those standards?

It always looks bitter and jealous to me when an app is getting 100% in and then someone comes along, votes out and doesn't explain why.

OP here, and yeah, thank you. that's exactly what prompted me to make this secret. apps that are getting 100% in and then BAM! someone comes and votes out for no apparent reason. there are many harsh voters in the game who are always good at giving concrit and/or pointing out what didn't work for them, but when things like that happen...? :/

I only write 'slash' or warnings for incest in my summaries. But yeah, people like to warn people what is in their fic. Days from now, this will keep happening. Just like some people warn for everything. I've seen warnings for smoking in fics. And the people who do warn for shoujo-ai and shounen-ai aren't doing it to offend. They're doing it because they think they're being considerate for the people who don't like it. And probably because it makes the fic seem more 'forbidden'.

Granted if you're extremely homophobic, you're not going to sit through a fic filled with oodles of gay or lesbian fun time sex, but others can get riled up just with a little kissing, hugging or hand-holding. I recall hearing a case that a school actually tried to ban students from hugging each other, and the focus was only on a boy and a girl hugging.

Those warnings aren't meant to hurt anyone intentionally. I can understand how much it would hurt you to see warnings like that though. I'd hate to have to tell people, "By the way, I'm about to hold my friend's hand in an overly affectionate way which would imply I have feelings for her, so if you're not okay with that I suggest you leave now."
