43. I see what you mean, but I think you're overreacting a bit. Yaoi and yuri may be popular but alot of people aren't interested in reading that stuff (Myself included. I'm not homophobic. It's just never appealed to me). But just because they're are a couple of warnings on a shoujo-ai fic doesn't mean you have to hide the fact that you're bi for the rest of your life.

Man, I must be the only person around then who freaks out more about getting a high percentage in than ... not. 90-100% results terrify me because then you have to live up to expectations and it's freaky.

Also, yeah, last weekend I didn't comment that often in voting rounds. I kept napping off at weird times (DAMN YOU CODEINE. D:) and by the time I got back to comments, three new rounds had gone up and undoubtedly the applicant wouldn't care at that point. (See the last round where I fell asleep in the middle of voting. 43) Well I put a warning when there is hetro content too to make it fair. XD Plus a lot of the time, speaking from my experience I put a warning when there is homosexual content to keep those people away who go, "OMG I READ YOUR STORY. F*** YOU FOR NOT PUTTING GAY IN THE SUMMARY CAUSE I AM A HOMOPHOBE."

The warning isn't to state that the world is generally afraid but to tell those who are (sorry, they are going to be there whether you like it or not. At least in this time period.) to just keep away. I just really really do not want to waste my time with those readers who stumble upon my stuff and nag about it. D:

45- Supernatural is my fandom but I think that you have the right to dislike any show you want. We all have different tastes. I can't stand Dr. Who.. which has a huge, rabid, following. 43. A-FUCKING-MEN. I actually just went off on someone about that a couple weeks ago -- hell no I ain't gonna warn for homosexuality, 'cause life sure as hell don't (and shouldn't) warn for it. Explicit or even implied sex? Yeah, I'll warn for it. Violence, tentacles, other possibly squicky stuff? Hell yes, I'll warn for it. People in queer relationships (as a secondary story element in a fic that's almost entirely gen, wherein homosexuality has been discussed by the characters previously)? Fuck no I ain't gonna warn for it. One look at what else I've written (my interests, my ficjournal profile, whatever) and it should be blatantly fucking obvious there's a high probability of teh ghey showing up SOMEWHERE.

Don't like it? Hit the fucking backspace and go somewhere else (preferably without bitching and moaning about to the author). Do it with het. Do it with slash. Do it with femslash. Hell, do it for gen; who cares? The point is, unless there's tonsil hockey, groping, or sexual activity going on, there's no goddamn reason for fucking warnings.
