Well, okay, one, that's a different series, right? This isn't some Agent Carter miniseries I somehow missed? So... how is that related to this? Does the scene work for you specifically because Atwell played Agent Carter?

Second, obviously, there's nothing wrong with any of it, and it doesn't make the character any less strong, nor could it.

I'm mostly this way about Criminal Minds. I really just want to watch the show. I do look online for spoilers, but that's about the extent of my fandom involvement. It is one of my favorite shows, but I like it or what it is and am not interested in it apart from the actual show.

Most of the things I enjoy, honestly.

For me, fandom tends to be most appealing at the intersection of "thing I like" and "thing with a lot of missed potential". If there aren't a lot of blanks to fill in or dangling threads to speculate and fic about, I'm not likely to be actively fannish, even if I follow a series/author/whatever religiously.

Can you clarify what you mean by protagonist-centered morality? I think the show does a pretty good job with moral ambiguity and showing different sides of issues. The recent events with Bismuth and Jasper have made it pretty clear that both characters are meant to be sympathetic, despite respectively being an antagonist and fundamentally disagreeing with Steven/Rose's approach to the war. Plus there's the fact that Steven himself does try his best to understand and empathize with his enemies, even when they're straight-up trying to kill him.

I think I'm sort o the same. But not in the sense of "missed potential," more in the sense of "a lot of room to explore and create." Like, Criminal Minds is set in our world. There isn't really much room for exploring outside of canon. The fandoms I've been into most have been Harry Potter and Tolkien because both of those have left a lot of room to explore (with Potter I think there is a lot of missed potential as well as a whole world to explore, with Tolkien it is just about getting into the characters heads and thinking about things that happen between canon bits and things like that because it is such a big world to explore).

The secret doesn't state anything sexual. It could be sexual but it doesn't have to - not all physical contact is sexual. Anyway, even if it was, you can be asexual and have exceptions, as with other sexualities. (People might argue that's gray-ace and maybe that would be a better descriptor, but I still don't think one experience of "I'd like to touch this guy's bod" mean people should be able to question your identity)

Hugging or other technically intimate actions don't have to be sexual. Burying your face in your partner's hair or your dog's fur is the same action but hopefully distinctly different meanings
