She could be annoying to me at times, but when her character development started really kicking in past the first season, she became so endearing.

In fact, most of the long term females are that way for me. I was so excited when Emily came back. I love these girls.

Right there with you. It makes me so sad that sources that actually have shifters in them rarely have fic that actually explore and play with that aspect. I love the concept, and the possibilities, but a lot of the time it's "human AUs" out the wazoo. At least in my recent experience.
