I chose the topic for my essay, so I'm definitely fond of it too! Some of the therapists reporting their case studies make it sound so easy, when I know from experience how hard it is to motivate kids who feel like school and the world are against them.

When you say you do not like beer, what types have you tried? Is it just lagers you've tried? There are a lot of types of beers and they all taste pretty different. Some lagers can be pretty unpleasant, how about a nice porter instead?

Was he the one who scored Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves? I can leave the Bryan Adams pop song from it, but I love the overture from that movie and the non-Adams song in the soundtrack. I used to play the soundtrack over and over until the tape wore out when I was younger, it was the soundtrack to my reading of Lord of the Rings. It is my Lord of the Rings soundtrack.

It might be that the people making merchandising and marketing decisions are basing all of this on assumptions about what they *think* kids like and refuse to change those assumptions in the face of real numbers. I heard The Force Awakens merch had similar problems with people expecting the kids to want Kylo Ren stuff, but they preferred Rey and Finn and pretty much anyone else (which makes sense to me, but no one asked me).

Cave art? Pah, Johnny come lately, ya poser. It was the way Uncle Erk decorated the tree branch we slept on with his own poop that was real art. Ever since we came down out the trees its just been getting derivative and unoriginal. Cave Art, indeed!

I have a headache but it could be caused my any one of the following or combination of:

allergies (I ran outside this morning)
didn't eat enough to accommodate having ran 8 miles
at lunch time eating those wee small thing from a company called 'Cookie Dough Cafe' that was cookie dough in a cup (no eggs so no worry): translation - holy sugar bomb!

If Ren had been more a cool villain like his grandad and less a whiny redpiller then they'd have been right to order in so many. A clear argument for making sure the guys in charge of shilling the merch at least know what the property is like before it goes to the public.

About 70-ish unread fics on AO3 ranging through the various fandoms I've dipped my toe into the past few months, and about 30-odd recipes from different food blogs that I've been meaning to make but haven't gotten around to yet.

Yeah it's a problem.

I was on a power rangers kick a while and I definitely feel like some of them are hard to watch if you're not a kid/don't have nostalgia glasses on.

I don't think MMPR is the hardest to rewatch, it has some good basic entertainment.

I weirdly think some of the later power rangers have stronger stories though, but it depends on the generation (and I haven't seen every one so this is just an opinion.)

I'm curious why you assume that fic IS predominantly coming from a fetishizing place? Like, if you like it and it enjoy it and it isn't obviously objectifying. I mean, I'm not saying there isn't shitty fic, or PWP, or whatever out there, but fandom in general is hugely character/emotion/subjective focused. Even if fics are awkward and coming out of prurient curiosity, or kids who don't know how to be sensitive wanting to explore gender stuff that they might not eventually identify with, I feel like that's a very different dynamic and process from mainstream obsession?

(Partly this is coming from me really wishing that we as a culture could learn to separate 'fetishizing' from 'any attraction' across the board, because desire is healthy and important and we don't need new reasons to be ashamed of it while trying to get rid of the old ones. Obviously this doesn't extend to hurting real people, but it's still a thing.)

For Full Disclosure: I'm a cis person currently in the middle of writing a fic that turns a canon male character into an mtf. A LOT of it is about her perspective and experience, but there's also porn. It's about the same amount of porn as my fics of him as a cis dude. I'm trying to do research as I go and be good about stuff, but yeah, I may be biased.
