Seems more like you hate the fandom rather than the game. :/
Kingdom Hearts II is a good game, a great improvement over the first, at least gameplay wise.
I always say if you just like Kingdom Hearts for the "OMG ORGY 13 YAOI AKUROKU LOL", you're not a real KH fan. Real KH fans like the game for the game. And it is a fun game.
I always think a fandom ruining something good is stupid. Just ignore it and enjoy the game, especially if you liked the first one.

Actually, as a rabid 8059 fangirl, i doubt it has anything to do with the way they look. And its because Gokudera doesn't REALLY hate Yamamoto. I think its mainly because they have wonderful dynamics, whereas 2759 is just...fluffy, most of the time. It doesn't do anything for me, though i think its a cute ship.
