Religion apparently = fiction and anyone who dares to have spiritual/religious believes are obviously idiots who can't tell when something isn't "real".

43) Screw you. It's stupid, humorous, and entertaining. And I wager to say a good deal smarter and witty than most of the broadcast crap catered to adults. I'm looking at you, Two and a Half Men and the 47832 reality TV shows out there.

Ooh, Ouran secrets.

3: WTF??!? Why WTF??!? I don't slash Ouran, but it seems to me that that is one of the more popular slash pairings. It totally makes sense -- especially from Kyoya's side of things. I think the problem with it is that you totally need to remove Haruhi from the picture. As far as the anime goes, it'd be easy to manage, since there is no canon pairing...

9: I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to (I still haven't backtracked and read all of the earlier chapters of the manga...) but I agree with you on Tamaki. I'm not bent that it's pretty well canon in the manga at this point, but I don't read fic of it at all. He is a little too boring, despite his difficult family life and whatnot -- Haruhi really is too good for him.

I'm not, however, with you on Kyoya. I totally ship her with Mori ♥

[identity profile] yui-hime.livejournal.com 2008-05-24 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
1) I actually thought "Asgard" was ironically appropriate.

Norse mythology does get shanked a lot by Symphonia, but it can't be any worse than a million other action-RPGs that use the name "Ragnarok" for a move, not realizing that Ragnarok is the Norse Armageddon. At least Symphonia sometimes comes close to acknowledging the mythology behind those names (the world tree with the fucking impossible name comes to mind).

19) I want to think you're exaggerating, and then I remember the depths of furry-hate that exist on the interwebs.

43) [joke about the wank that is sure to erupt from this]

70) *sews lips shut*

43) Okay, I can understand if the people in question are the annoying fanbrat types who can't stop talking about the show, but who said there had to be an age limit to appreciating a well-written show with a well-developed cast?
49) The only other one in your list I watched was Constantine, but HOLY CRAP REAPER! That show is freaking brilliant. Friend me please? XD

@47: I got into the fandom right on time, btu the girl I wanted to call Onee-sama has seen... cowboy beebop. once. in english. She would have never watched marimite with me anyway, even if I'd had the courage to talk to her. My childhood lesbian dreams... they were crushed.

70: Being catholic doesn't mean that. It means that you have a pope who is kinda like your grandad. get the facts right.

22. I absolutely loathed the comic, and I love LXG. I wouldn't recommend reading it even if you do get curious, as it's nothing like the movie and pretty much everyone there is an absolute dick. *wants lovable rogue!Skinner, not rapist!Skinner, plz*

49. You and me both. I have no idea what it is about the Christian supernatural that's so much fun to play around with.

50. Don't feel shame! They were cute!

60. Yeah, the fandom kinda petered out after the movie hype died down. It never quite interested me as much as TF:A, but it was all right. Had some lovely porn, too.

70. I feel like there's some context I'm missing here.

D: D: D: It's not Skinner, it's Griffin. And I loved the comic precisely because they were all jerks if not abhorrent evil bastards who were forced to somehow do the right thing. Oh, and because Mina was 1000000000000000x more awesome in the comic.
