What are some plot holes in movie and TV that still drive you crazy?

Not yet! I want to, though. I want to watch all of Kurosawa's films, but I have a heavy workload, so I want to do it when I can devote my attention.

I may rope my dad into watching it with me when I next go home, he quite liked Rashomon.

Actually, that's a good point

What shows on TV even have cowboy characters right now

Even beyond the abuse and spending rumors, he just looks sick and bloated now. Just a mess. He needs help.

I actually found it entertaining, but I mostly hated it because I genuinely thought it had so much potential. Pretty art, attractive designs, engaging concept that was really easy to capture the imagination. I couldn't believe they shoved what could've been a long series into 12 episodes with huge time gaps between each one and spend three-fourths of that on accumulating protagonist's harem. Won't even comment on the subsequent arcs/seasons/whatever.

Deep Space Nine. I was bitterly disappointed by Next Generation and grew to absolutely loathe nearly all of it, so my expectations for YASTS were very low.

Man, I think this is true for nearly everyone who watched TWS. The first movie was so goddamn boring.

I mean, the play is Tudor propoganda.

I didn't expect to like Hannibal at all, since it hits pretty much every squick and trigger I have. But I loved it and it really wasn't a problem at all.

The stupid Tribble blood stops death thing from Into Darkness. Makes no sense and suddenly it is stupid that the Federation isn't breeding tribbles and keeping them in all medical bays.

The Matrix one where Cypher is in the Matrix talking to Smith without having someone on the outside to plug him in. How did he get in? And how did everyone not know he was there?

The Reapers of Doctor Who were a stupid edition in one episode that never appear again, which is a massive plot hole.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade- "The penitant man will kneel" and then duck and role for the swinging saw? How did Indy know that second part?

Stop trying to make cannibalism happen. It's not going to happen.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-26 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
The one that got me recently was Robert Miles. It was just so unexpected. His music was a big part of my youth, but I'd kinda forgotten all about it and him, then the news broke he'd died of cancer and it just kinda took the wind out of my sails in a way I did not expect.

I still find that pretty pathetic. I get certain things can symbolize something for you, but you don't really have a right to say you are devastated over the death of someone you did not know even if you were the "number one fan". And if you are devastated, that's ridiculously unhealthy. It's disrespectful to act like this person was someone you had a personal relationship with or that you are experiencing any real loss. It's one thing to be sad that someone who has represented a lot to you has died. But to go into mourning is really messed up.

I was fairly meh on the first movie and the Avengers movie. This was the first Marvel movie that I thought was really fun and made me want to see what happened next.
