109. WHile I agree with your belief that it won't have a "love redeems" ending, I don't think that's because it's shonen, I think it's because of Aizens character... I honestly Do Not See the man as redeemable. He's going for that Golden-God Throne (in Beijing), and people who don't see it that way... well, you are of course entitled to that. I mean it. I just can't agree with it. Aizen is a villain right down to his deluded, pompous core. This is what I believe. Ain't no love saving him now.

If it makes you feel any better, I totally missed the subtext for my favorite yaoi pairing in Saiyuki the first (few) times I watched the anime.

Of course, it could have been that I was anti-yaoi before Saiyuki "converted" me, or the fact that I was fangirling over Kougaiji/Yaone like nobody's business.

115. I like it. Mostly for the characters, but the BL is a good plus. I'm not in love with the series, but I was fond of the Josh/Metis arc and stuck with it. Although, I really don't like the recent Jay&Charles arc so far. (Then again, I don't like Jay as much as I like the rest of the cast.)

2. Suspended or fired various doctors when they acted against his orders.
3. Tried to woo Elizabeth with the sleaziest pick-up lines heard this side of "Coyote Ugly".

But he also:

1. Helped Lucy by performing an experimental procedure on her patient.
2. Had one of the most touching scenes in the whole show when she died.
3. Almost lost it when operating on his dog.

I know there's loads, but a lot of it is badly written, badly drawn, etc. And everything well-written takes place AT THE SMASH MANSION or some crap like that, and it mostly just pisses me off. I've found maybe 3 good fics out of the entire SSB fandom. I prefer stuff that's closer to the original plots of FE, if I'm making any sense.
