I've never seen this, either, but it was a bit of an eye-opener just now to see that the mom was being played by someone only a few years older than I am. Does that make me old or did they cast too young? I'm 37, so someone 3 years older than me could technically be the mother of a college student without having been a teen mom. Technically.

The Purity Brigade would probably accuse you of lying about being a survivor in the first place, so like always it's best to just ignore what they say and take the pleasure for yourself in the knowledge of how they backhandedly helped you. And any way of coping and getting over things is good if it works! I'm happy for you, OP.

That sucks. My dad had back surgery at the beginning of the year. He doesn't know how to take it easy so recovery has been meh.

I loved that show but I can't watch it without Mary, Sue, and Mel.

Looking for a second job so quite a lot of time right now, nearly everywhere where I live takes applications online now. I went through town with a folder full of CV's before I got my current job and all but two places told me to go online.

Also I fall way too easily into the Youtube timesink trap.

If I wasn't completely terrified for the future of the country, I might be enjoying White House Survivor.

Probably Right Stuf. I've bought a lot of stuff from them and, whenever I have issues, they always fix them for me very quickly. Plus, my LE blu-rays never arrived jacked up like the ones I order from Amazon.

Obsessively checking the weather to confirm that it is still likely to be sunny on Monday (we only get about 83% for the eclipse, but I'd still like to see that!), probably watching the rest of a neat movie with Ricardo Montalban called Mystery Street where he is a police detective and works with a Harvard Medical School doctor who is all "We will solve this crime with FORENSICS!" It's fun!

Thanks. The problem is I'm having frequent panic attacks, and while the short-term med they gave me works, it pretty much knocks me out so nothing gets done. And I can only take it 2-3 times a day.

I want more Bill, too. I wish we'd have gotten two seasons of her and Twelve.

Maybe eight hours a day. It used to be more, but there's no signal where I work, so I can't go online during breaks. When the recession hit, we had to cut a bunch of stuff and the internet was one of them. I went three years without a reliable internet connection and could only use it on the weekends when we went to the library.
