102. Fruits Basket is an excellent shoujo manga. It's certainly one of the best in the genre. I just pretend that most of the last several chapters never happened. There is no gay in Furuba.

107. I've had that feeling too. Sometimes characters hit me right in the maternal instincts. And if they get a Bad End I recreate them in The Sims 2 and give them perfect lives. Shh, it's theraputic. :(

*hugs* I don't think the fandom will ever die. :-) Some people have left, but new people are coming in. Taking into account all the new ficathons and fests out there, there seems to be still a lot of interest in the series. Also, new generations of readers and fans will come. However, I do share the sadness of never again waiting giddily at the midnight release parties, staying way up, devouring a single book in one day... I love books, but HP will always be special for me.

Looking on the bright side, at least now that all the books are out, we won't need to worry about an upcoming book debunking our ideas. :-)

102. Umm, I think it is awesome for what it was, which was a charming shoujo series with really heartfelt characters. I mean is it the masterpiece to end all mangas. No. But it isn't crap. And I am not even going to go how violently I disagree with the Tohru=Mary Sue thing.

132. I personally didn't find either of the deaths that moving. I did mourn for L's more, but not necessarily due to his death, just that the plot kind of sunk after that. Light's death was pathetic, but that fit, because I found him kind of pathetic at the end anyways.

151. Um, he is the main character, I don't find him all that heroic. I think Death Note is pretty much devoid of heroism and general. And you do better than him? In your dreams. Death Notes would only work in a truly black and white world. Unfortunately our world is not black and white, and in the end I think they are more a cause for evil than good. That power could never be good even if used with good intentions.

I agree with you on the plot sinking! I kind of wish they just cut the series after L's death but Light had to die or other people would be like "Just what message is this series sending?"...unfortunately :/
