135. Haunted is one of my favorite albums in general. I got it on a whim and was shocked as how many strong, awesome songs were on it. So many different sounds, so many very witty lyrics. My favorite song of that album is either "Control" or "Walk the walk". I keep meaning to get her other album. So, in short, I agree. Poe is fabulous.

124. I finally got around to seeing Reservoir Dogs recently. I was told by loads of people how great it was. I can’t believe nobody told me about all the slash. Not even the friends I know are slashers. WTF people? I love Orange/White.

N!s2. I think deep down everyone knows that this isn’t the epic love story they want it to be. It’s just that it’s out gay characters (one of which is played by an out gay actor) being gay on screen in sci-fi. Having screen time that actually rivals the straight couples on the same show. It still doesn’t happen all that often, and it never ends well (presumably including Jack and Ianto eventually). A lot of us want the happy ever after so hard that we’re prepared to ignore everything that suggests it’s never going to happen. That’s my theory, anyway.

135 - Poe's music is gorgeous. I'm a huge fan of hers as well. Have you read House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski (her brother)? His book and her last album tie in with each other. I think her liner notes even reference pages in his book since they both were working on their projects at the same time and feeding off each other. Anyway, great stuff.

137. Wow. I guess the fact that whether I wanted them to or not, his works influenced how I view the world more than any other author is a failing on my part or something. I'm sorry for enjoying his stuff, thus adding to the number of people who like him, and making him overrated.


Twilight is overrated. Gaiman is just Gaiman. If it's not your cup of tea, fab, but that doesn't make it overrated.

I suppose I should be glad that Gaiman is selling enough stuff to annoy people. I think he's brilliant, actually, and he and Alan Moore have done so much for the graphic novel genre. Only, I got bored in Anansi Boys. I'll have to give that one another go.
