Movie Nominations!

It is time for Movie Club nominations!

Theme: For the second half of December, the theme are Holiday Movies. It can be holiday except for Halloween (since we did two horror weeks already).

Rules (subject to change):
-One nomination per person.
-Must be available for rent on Amazon or iTunes, but if it streaming on Netflix or Hulu it helps!
-First 15 nominations will be chosen for voting.

Nominations will be open Monday-Wednesday. Voting will be on Thursday-Friday. The winner will be announced officially on Monday*. We will discuss the movie December 23rd-24th.

*I will close the poll on Friday (or early Saturday) so you can check the results if you want to see the winner before Monday.

Book club - a few announcements

First of all, thanks to everyone who participated in our discussion for THGTTG! I didn't even realize what an extensive franchise the whole thing was, dang.

Second, quick reminder that we are reading Briar Rose by Jane Yolen for December. Not sure of a discussion date; the last Sunday in December is New Year's Eve so that's probably not on the table, so we'd probably best either do a weekday, or move it to Jan 7. Either is fine with me; let me know your preferences.

Last, onto some not-so-great news - I think this will be my last month, at least for the forseeable future, that I run FS Book Club. It's just gotten hectic and I keep forgetting to even check secrets, let alone make a post; I don't think I'm doing the club a lot of justice, and I don't think it's getting enough turnout to really benefit a lot of people. If anyone wants to take up the mantle of book club leader, let me know! Sorry, I feel bad bowing out but it's just too much on my plate right now. :(

I will still keep reading bunches, and I hope you do too.
