I told my boyfriend and it was the fact that these things make me creative and sexy in bed that made him not be deeply weirded out by the fact that I write and enjoy some truly fucked up things with characters... Including one I nicknamed him after. You should tell him, but you should tell him in a positive proactive way. Don't be ashamed and don't act like it's a bad thing. Tell him in a way that let's him know that this is something you enjoy and don't want to be judged for and that he benefits, by way of your creativity and sexiness, from your enjoying the fandom porn.

105. Way to miss the point. Are some people that self-loathing? Sure. But that's not why fandom saves people. Fandom is community and love. And canon itself can teach you things you'd never learn otherwise. It can give you meaning and coax you into trying new philosophies or ways of thinking. I know that if I never read the Hitchhiker's Guide series as a kid, I would not be who I am today.

113 That's just how I draw because that's what I read. I'm not looking to publish a "manga" anyway, I'm writing a graphic novel (the story I'm writing is more along the lines of Daniel Clowes than CLAMP).

105: I don't know if I'd say fandom saved my life, things have never been that bad for me. But it sure has made it suck less, when I thought I was going to be swallowed up by everything being mundane. It introduced me to open-minded, intelligent people with different backgrounds and life experiences, and has generally helped me have fun, make friends, and become a better writer.

135: I know what you mean. I used to love Huddy and Hilson and now I'm like...would I really do that to anyone? Although I'm not sure that it isn't just a matter of balance. House has always been a dick, but they've been showing fewer and fewer occasions of him *not* being a dick. I kinda thought he was heading back on an upswing at the end of the season, but alas, they got cut off by the strike. :(

I know what you mean! I remember I was so upset one night and I just was having this total breakdown- but then I heard some music and then realized that I'd left my game boy on, which had one of the route songs playing.

It calmed me down a lot and I was able to get some sleep.
