118. Seriously, me too. I've read about the original series, even have some fans on my friendslist, but have never seen an episode all the way through. And I still laughed my ass off during the movie.

Don Adams' voice is the most irritating thing I've ever heard, though, so I may never bother with the original.

but as for what i've heard, in regards to 'intelligently' introducing glbt characters

i hear torchwood is pretty much like a fanfic with a big honkin' budget

can anyone confirm/deny this

Fanfic is generally better.

I think the glbt stuff in Torchwood is handled reasonably well given the context, but there's a bit of a problem with all of the plot and characterization, and, uh, acting. It has its brilliant moments though and S2 was a lot better.

145. I agree that they all look similar. It can't really be helped considering that all Claymores are females with blonde hair. You can tell that the mangaka goes to great lengths to differentiate them, though. Different hairstyles, different facial structures, even the ears are sometimes used as ways to distinguish them. It results in some funky hairstyles, but I think the mangaka does a good job of making it possible to tell them apart.

But even I get confused sometimes, too >.> Especially with the characters that don't play that big of a role in the plot.

I hate him for wiping out all the time lords when he started the new series, for elevating the doctor to some ridiculous god-like status, for incessantly bombarding us with inane and unnecessary romantic subplots (until Donna, at least, THANK GOD). I do appreciate that he revived the show (I wouldn't have gotten into it otherwise) and I also like his inclusion of gay characters and making they're sexuality no big deal to the plot (as it should be in real life: NO BIG DEAL). I just don't find him to be a very good writer, especially after last season's finale. I have hopes for this season... but we'll see how that goes on Saturday.

130. Oh god, I'm the same way. I can ship Misa with anyone (LxMisa is particular is cute), but at the same time I'm like "but but romance in Death Note? DX" Honestly, the best ship-fic I've ever read in DN fandom was a Light/Misa piece which, by virtue of the pairing, was more twisted and abusive than romantic. But it was awesome...
