Honestly, I think my love of complex-yet-happy dynamics in relationships came from them.

And I know WHY she died, but I still wish it didn't happen. I thought it'd be interesting to see them deal with the aftermath of her "moment".

129. I hated it when the Baker's Wife died, but the very fact that it WAS unnecessary MADE it necessary to the plot. Fate is fickle and cruel, horrible things happen that make no sense, and there's no easy happy endings.

Also, the idea of seeing David being a hard-ass secret agent man, shooting guns, killing random people, bedding women...well the bedding I don't mind...but the rest of it would just be too hard to see so soon after his turn as the Doctor. The Doctor only does the bedding...the rest would be like blasphemy. ;)

I see your argument, and it makes sense considering that the entire second act is supposed to defy that perfect fairy tale cliche of "happily ever after"; everything in act two does that. It's just that her death was one of so many other random, unfortunate things that it seemed like an exaggerated overload.

152 - Dude, yes. I'm working my way through GW again at the moment, and I keep noticing how it seems like the chicks are the ones who really get shit done. They're awesome. A little intense, yes, but in an anime that contains folks like Duo Maxwell and Chang Wufei, they'd kinda get left in the dust if they weren't.

146: I agree with you... artists should learn the basics before they attempt to overly stylize their art, and not just copy someone else's style right off, to keep styles personal... but I'm going to keep reading Millennium Snow anyhow. For the dialog. And the inking.

I think that for many people the point of contention is more that she's criticizing CLAMP's style based solely on stuff that they've made in the last 4 or 5 years...you know, never mind that they've been around since the 90s or anything, and that their earlier stuff has more normal proportions and anatomy.

I'll have you know that the author of Millenium snow/a thousand years of snow (black and white pic), is way, way, better at drawing now after even more than 5 years after drawing that picture, Just look at the the later half of Ouran high school host club and you'll see how nicely stylized it is.
