I started watching The Voice and kept rolling my eyes like UGH this cocky arrogant idiot who does he think he is...

And then the more I watched the more I saw that he doesn't really seem to be like that, he's much more playful and insecure and down to earth than I expected.

I think I was just biased against him because he's pretty.

Wasn't there a gag like this in the manga as well? Kakashi says he's starting to like Naruto (impressed that he was doing well) and Naruto freaks out because he thinks he's hitting on him. In the movie, if I remember correctly, others comment how close they are and Naruto freaks out while Kakashi chases after him.

If anything it's like Naruto protest too much. Always did think Naruto was more into Sasuke than he ever was with any girl lmao.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say it probably wasn't his FAMILY's fault he was collecting child porn. Being vengeful towards them strikes me as both stupid and cruel.

You can be horny without being physically aroused. It's a multilayered thing. And most people don't NEED porn to maintain arousal, but they like it. It speeds things up when you just want a quick orgasm.

I'm a deeply suicidal person and I couldn't disagree more. There is no way to slice this that isn't him doing this to avoid the sentencing. That is not a mentally ill person acting due to their illness, it's a pedophile being confronted with consequences for his crime and running from them.

I totally agree. Especially when the story is kind of AU or something and the line is shoehorned in.

I am kinda feeling the same about this line, if only because i've read it in some fic where its used not only more than once, but in situations where it's just not appropriate.

But - less than other fandoms, so that's something.....

Agreed. Many scenes in that particular adaptation fail in tone and delivery. Granted, it’s been a long time since I saw this version, but I remember thinking how off it felt when I watched it.

(Sorry, I still can’t get over how this Darcy feels rather bland and whiny.)

Have you ever known anyone IRL in that kind of situation who so patently tries to move their hands in a way that palms and fingers make only sporadic or no contact with the other person? 'Cause that's what this is - look at how Chyler's awkwardly moving one hand off of Chris to kind of half wave it in the air while they embrace and kiss.
