What's your go to meal when all you've got is wgatever is currently in your fridge or pantry?

I generally go for the pasta and whatever's in a few cans. Do you manage to make masterpieces or nightmares out of your limited ingredients?

Additional challenge: you're too broke/lazy/any other scenarios too go out and buy additional (usually perishable) ingredients. What's the meal then?

Pasta, chicken stock, onion, whatever other veggies i have in the microwave. Then add soy sauce and sesame oil.

I keep a pretty well stocked pantry, so it could be a lot of things. Spaghetti, because I always have pasta, canned tomatoes, spices, garlic and onions. Scrambled eggs and toast. Ramen. Pancakes. Bean and cheese burritos. Quesadillas. Baked chicken and rice.

It depends what's in the fridge but usually stir fry or curry. If there's no veg at all, a sandwich. But I try not to run out of veg because it's murder on my stomach.

because of our diet and budget I keep bread and sandwich shit on hand so that if it's a no-cooking night, it's a sandwich

the few times I've tried to scrounge what's out of the fridge (cheese, the last half a pepper, bacon bits, tortillas, etc) with or without fresh pasta or rice it has come out a monstrosity. I always regret it.

I almost always have the ingredients for grilled cheese and sandwich fixings. Scrambled eggs or omelets are also pretty easy, and you can stir in any leftover bits of vegetables, some shredded cheese, stuff like that.

Scrambled eggs with cheese and herbs. Toast with peanut butter and honey. Oranges. Pasta. Soup out of anything I can salvage from the crisper, onions, garlic, canned beans, tomato paste, and soy sauce. Mug cakes.

At what point are you too old for life choices

I've recently made the discovery that it's not just nostalgia; I honestly feel a lot more like the person I'd like to be when I'm in the country where I once was an exchange student. The process of moving in itself isn't an issue since I'm in the EU, but

I'm a teacher, and will very possibly have to change my career because the public requirements are different over there. Then, there's the fact that I have no family and no close friends there.

And I'm a woman at 33, and while I've never wanted children I've never not wanted them either, and right now I feel like I'm facing the decision between living the safe-but-unsatisfying life I am right now, or tossing all my education and professional training away for the dream of the life I never knew I wanted.

Dumbest thing you've personally witnessed in fandom

I once knew this girl who sent links of her (crappy) fanfiction and some of the fandom's best known works to the creators to show them "how a sequel should be done". She was in her early 20s and dumb as a bag of hammers because she genuinely thought this was a good idea and then got mad at people who told her it wasn't and ffs was she trying to get people's fics taken down with a cease and desist? This was in the old days when fanfiction wasn't even close to being mainstream, like...much more underground than it is even now.

Someone had to explain to her what copyright law meant and how fanfiction was technically a violation of it. She threw a glorious tantrum, accused everyone of being mean to her and went on a big lj unfriending spree.

Legend says she's still trying to finish her 60+ chapter fic, lol.
