Seriously, we need to do whatever we can to motivate every single Democrat/liberal and independent (as well as any moderate Republicans that still exist and are horrified at what their party's become under Trump) to get out and vote like mad this November.

Honestly, though, I don't think people going out and voting in and of itself is going to be the big issue. I think (I certainly hope, at least) there's enough people on the left pissed off at what's happening to where they're going to go vote. My big concern is whether or not our election results will be fucked with again.

Well, he voted with the majority on Trump V Hawaii (which is shameful and he and everyone else who voted for that piece of shit opinion should be haunted by it until they die), so clearly he doesn't fundamentally object to the court going in a conservative direction.

I kind of wonder whether Roberts has maybe given him some reason to think that Obergfell won't be overturned, because that's the only thing I can see Kennedy being willing to stay on for.

OP—I’m not gonna. I think if I was gonna give up I would’ve just tried to leave the US last July when my mom died—I wanted to try in November 16 when the chump won, but I couldn’t because, well, my mom was dying. Now I feel like if I’m still alive I might as well march and protest and try and help people who are/will be more fucked up by this administration/SCOTUS than me. I mean, I might still die, but I don’t want to kill myself so long as I might be able to make things even a little less shitty for immigrants/Muslims/asylum seekers/LGBT people/Mexicans/POC in general/everyone else who’s gonna be or is already getting screwed.

And help people in states where abortion is currently restricted and might soon be illegal to still have access to abortion providing doctors and procedures, donate money to groups doing pro bono legal work for immigrants, march in protests against police brutality and the separation of children from their parents—not murder 30+% of the US population. I loathe Chump and his Republican enablers, but even if this ends in revolution and guillotines, I’d be useless as a killer. And if it gets that bad I’ll probably already be dead, because some of my Republican neighbors would probably kill me.

Evangelicals will be happy about it, but on the other hand, once the nominee is on the Supreme Court, what reason do they have left to vote? They got there.

Obviously, this still sucks massively, but I have a hard time believing that it's going to actually increase evangelical turnout
