DITTO. I was so disappointed to hear the new show wasn't going to be set in more recent history. The destruction of Valyria, the survival of the Targareyns, and the conquering of Westeros would be fascinating.

Hmm, I don't know if Qi'ra has a stronger bond, but she certainly played a major role in his life. I don't think that's a bad thing, though. On the contrary, I found it a refreshing change from the "one true love" trope that seems to run through so much media.

I see Han as having been in love with both Leia and Qi'ra, but in different ways. It doesn't mean that one has to be greater than the other, especially when they are occurring at different periods in his life. They're both important, and they're different, and they both came to different endings.

It depends so much on the kind of dystopia, I think. I definitely prefer the slightly lighter dystopias personally, and good characters fit a lot more easily into those kinds of settings.

But I also kind of wonder... should those still count as dystopias? Isn't part of the horror and point of a true dystopia how intensely difficult - almost impossible - it would be to remain a good person?
