122. I loathe shota characters in general with great intensity, and this kid certainly didn't change my mind. I found him to be irritating, useless, and nothing more than a device for Akihiko and Shinjiro's character development.

I don't hate him or want anything bad to happen to him or something like that; I just didn't care for him.

Bara isn't really my thing, but I hate whiny ukes with an even greater intensity than I do shota characters (see above post...I'm beginning to see a trend).

I myself enjoy yaoi with a dominant uke, or simply a non-stereotypical one, such as the ones found on Love Mode. However, my major preference comes down to ones where at least both of the leads look like men (not bara types, but in the middle of the two extremes), and don't act like the stereotypical seme and uke types. Too bad all of those are very rare...

Here (http://community.livejournal.com/potcrps/75522.html) is the chapter list for the two Sparrow/Depp stories I've finished so far. I hope I don't have Johnny TOO OOC or submissive (I don't know him personally, after all). Jack, of course, is lots of fun to write; I think I do him better in the longer/later story. I'm trying to decide how a third story might go, if I ever get around to it. Most stories in that comm are Johnny/Orlando, so I have fun posting things a little different.

So far, I have found very few other stories of this nature online, so it's sort of a cozy little niche for me. Any fanart of Depp/Sparrow would be loads of fun to watch; I'll have to check it out at deviantArt when I get a few moments...

I think the yaoi fanbase is mainly comprised of either closet lesbians/bisexuals or women who are either really intimidated by men or want to get with weaker men who they can dominate and control. Because I simply refuse to believe that most fangirls would actually rather get with a feminine man IRL than a guy with some muscle tone and actual fucking facial features.

(The remaining portion of the fanbase are females and gay men who just want to see dudes getting fucked in the ass. I can respect that.)

And random PROTIPS: There has been some psychological studies that most women prefer androgyny features, especially in Japan. Also there's studies that while women would like to fuck the stereotypical macho male, they rather marry and be with guys that a tad feminine. And not a lot of women outside of slash, prefer beefy guys either, that I know.

And bara's not that different, I read bara where the bottom was dominated as well.
