I agree, I've always hated the Olympics. I don't like sports, I don't like watching sports and they dominate the airwaves. When I tell people the reason I hate them is because I would rather be watching reruns of sitcoms they laugh...

133- The movie was a big deal before he died. Less people were just paying attention then. Yeah, he probably made it BIGGER but you dumb to think it wouldn't have been huge. As for the attraction...*sigh* we've been over it.

143- not to mention we don't all have ways to GET to NY/LA whatever, or live in large enough town that traveling shows come (I do, but I know many who don't)

171. I feel your pain. I've been a member there for a pretty long time, although I have always been mostly a lurker. I used to check there three or more times a day; now I just about remember to check it once every three days... it's become rather painfully inactive, too, which just sucks more. I can only hope that if/when those new handheld games come out, some of the oldbies will be drawn back and we can go back to having fun. ; . ;
