129. The adaptation is a completely different work. It’s not supposed to be a conversion of the original but rather a creative work for the director. So you’re pretty much wrong.

129. That depends what exactly they're complaining about people saying. It's not elitist to say that you think an adaptation is crap because it completely misses the major points of the original, or changes the characters in a way that guts the emotional centre of the work, yet a lot of people will yell "elitist" at that.

108. I’m not too worried. Apparently time in ‘hell’ passes a lot quicker than it does here (which makes sense, why would an alternate dimension have the same time pattern as us?) and the show starts 6 months after the Season Three finale. He could’ve technically been in hell for a hundred years or more, his time.

114. I like Serena. I wanted her to be with Dan so very much, he’s a good influence on her. However, if she HAS to be with somebody else for a while, Nate’s a pretty good guy, right? (I still want Serena to be with Dan in the end though…)

Although Rent may not be the best way to make it. Jonathan Larson was living in an apartment a lot like Mark and Roger (or the one he describes in Tick, Tick…BOOM!, I guess, is more accurate), and he et. al realized that there were going to be a lot of people who couldn't afford to see the show. They started two front rows of folding chairs that cost $20 a seat because of it.

And woohoo, now I sound like a whiny know-it-all bitch, but it was NOT MY INTENTION.

I have a theory that Blair Waldorf is the bitchier, modern version of Blair Warner. The more I watch the show, the more I become convinced that her character is completely based on Blair Warner.

I usually like the bitchy characters best... but in this case I do prefer Serena. Mostly because of Blake Lively and her adorable way of talking out of the side of her mouth.

I don't think Ranka really loves Alto that way. She thinks she does, but really, the Alto she knows =/= what Alto really is.

I'm not even saying this because I'd prefer Alto to end up with Sheryl. Sheryl, as a character, is fine by herself, in my opinion. Just, Ranka needs to get some serious development before I can be converted into the Alto/Ranka ship.
