168 - I cry at fictional things all the time. I even cry at commercials, sometimes. =/ I don't think there's anything really wrong with it, since it's just a way I express sad emotions, and if a work of fiction doesn't evoke any sort of emotion, sad or otherwise, then it's probably pretty mediocre. It's not as if I become seriously depressed and need to take time off of work to cope with the bereavement of a favorite character, or anything.



....though, I do feel like punching myself in the stomach when commercials/other lame things that shouldn't make me cry, do.

110: I have quite a lot of moments in the movie where I start thinking about how the Joker can possibly be organising his life/his evil plans because it was so weird to imagine him doing the normal stuff that would surely be necessary. But it's kind of interesting as well for some reason, maybe because its surreal.

146. Don't worry! When I was still in uni, I shipped some of my professors (some had nice rival slash) and had an actual, unbreakable OTP. (Still do.) I even shipped one of my professors with one of my male friends. My friends found it amusing; one of them actually wrote a short ficlet on one pairing. (It was kept very tightly locked so no one could stumble across it by mistake!) I thought it was only fair considering that the professors were also shipping us! One of them shipped me with said male friend (he actually said that we should date), and at least two seemed to ship me with a certain female friend. One of them actually turned back from the door of a classroom once when he noticed that we were there alone and sitting rather close to each other, chatting. (I'm female)

124. I completely agree with you. One of the main reasons I liked Samus so much is that she was a kickass bounty hunter who just happened to be female. Now with the zero-suit, the focus is almost completely on the big boobs and skintight suit, turning Samus into fanservice first, bounty hunter second.

126) I see it as a sign of a lack of faith in the romantic attraction between two characters when you have to character bash in order to justify your ship. I mean, seriously, what a bizarre idea -- sort of like some odd prison romance where the guys end up together because there is no alternative.

144) It's a shame so many people just have no idea what makes a crack!fic work. They think it's easy, when in fact it's much, much harder than writing a straight fic, and if you don't know what you are doing, it always fails hard. Crack!fic = absurd premise meticulously followed through Crack!fic =/= random stream of consciousness shit.

156) I watch supernatural. I've told people I watch it. I have yet to be accused of being a freakish fan. Of course it probably helps that I'm not involved with the fandom at all, and since I'm not particularly interested in wincest, there's pretty much no reason to look for fic. You totally don't have to be secretive about your casual viewing. People won't think you are an obsessive fan unless you start doing and saying retarded things in inappropriate places.

101. Whenever people talk about vampire books I always remember my favorites when I was a teen, the vampire series by Michael Romkey that started with I, Vampire. I should reread them and see if they were actually as good as I remember.
