No, you don't want a relationship like theirs. Everything you see on camera, and even in their DAs and whatnot for the most part, is a complete LIE.

They're totally insecure about their 'relationship' and get butthurt every time an outsider so much as compliments their partner. Extreme jealousy. (Even though they deny it with the fervor of a guilty man).

Basically, all they have in common is that false happiness brought on by fandom!adrenalinerush.

If you just lurked a little, it's completely obvious that their 'love' is horribly forced.


Though, it is nice to pretend that these, and all cosplayer pairs have that AMAZINGLY TRUE LOVE!! thing going on. Funny how easy it is to think that.

I'm not that big a fan of the Zero Suit either, but I can tolerate it because it's still Samus's second choice. Her battlearmour will always be her primary weapon. Even in Brawl's SSE, she's only walking around in the blue thing until she gets her hands on her armour again.

Of course, if the next Metroid game shows Samus completely abandoning her Chozo armour for the blue suit and wimpy gun, then I'll lose respect. For humanity in general and Nintendo in particular.

In general, you're right. But while I'm totally with you on the "Kinsey scale: learn it, live it, love it" bandwagon, the fact is, there ARE Kinsey 0's and Kinsey 6's. I don't think there's anything wrong with you because ONE character in media seems like a Kinsey 0 to you.

As long as, you know, you're not going around flaming other people who'd put him somewhere else on the scale. You're not being hypocritical.

I too get furious when people insist that slash "makes straight characters gay" and think that just because someone's only ever had one kind of relationship, they can't have the other.

At the same time, there are definitely characters in my mind who seem 100% straight, 100% gay, 50/50 bisexual, more straight than gay, more gay than straight to me. There is nothing wrong with that. You're not being like the people who refuse to consider ANY possibility other than straight for EVERY character who's never had a canon same-sex relationship, including the ones with no canon relationships at all.

(PS: this is my problem with K/S, the original slash pairing--Kirk strikes me as incredibly straight with only the possibility of opportunistic bisexuality, and Spock strikes me as verging on asexual, only having sex when his physical needs demand it. I will defend people's right to slash anything that suits them but I still cannot believe a hetero horndog that may well have gay experimented because he will bone anything with a hole in it, no matter how alien, and a guy who only has sex when he'll die if he doesn't, are going to become life partners in any way other than the BFF, I'll die for you but you get your sex somewhere else, way.)
