Just for the record, in regards to your Batman commentary, it's "has suddenly risen," not "has suddenly rose."

101. Heh, that's nice, I'm sure Norion Juster would say "you're welcome!" btw, wasn't there an animated film of that book made?

105. I'm a huge HUGE fan of Pokemon, and I don't object to that secret at all! That concept sounds bad-ass =D Some gym leaders/eleite 4 members need more love! I'd play that =D

107. XD Nothin wrong with that

121. Wow... didn't see that coming... but meh, nothin wrong with that, tap as many clones as you please

125. Maybe it has to do with something personal? I get sort emotional when it comes to stuff with mothers...

128. So you wanna call him a babboon, sneak into museums, and play around in a nuclear power plant? ... What ever floats your boat! ^_^

142. Understandable, since alot of them seem to think the movie is gonna suck... (all fandoms think movies will suck before they come out, I think transformers fans were like that for the micheal bay transformers movie)

144. Wow, about time some one made a secret like that. More power to ya! You don't have to "hit" Joker if you don't want to!

149. Wow...

153. Heh, awesome. Why is this a secret? This should be nothing to be ashamed of.

159. DUDE, SICK X_x...

160. Some one who likes Harley/Ivy and Joker/Harley, followed by Joker/Harley/Ivy? HOT!!! (I bet Harley would looooove to be sandwiched between them XD)

165. WHAT THE HELL MOVIE/SHOW IS THAT?!?

167. Everyone on 4chan are assholes... I simply ask for the name of a certain series and everyone goes berserk and seems to want to tear my head off... that's why I never go there anymore...

168. Meh, nothing new. After seeing tons of Mpreg art of those two, just a simple "I ship it" doesn't shock me anymore

174. ... sad...

175. again, sad...

Re 160: Joker/Harley/Ivy

I have no idea how this could happen with at least one of them being waaaaay out of character (like you say Harley would probably think it was great, and I can see the Joker thinking it was hilarious under some circumstances, twisted revenge on Ivy, or just for kicks, but Ivy willingly going along with it?) however I WANT THIS TO EXIST!

135. While it makes me sad that XI is practically forgotten as a FF game by the majority of the English-speaking fandom ... the story does nothing for me. It's one FF cliche after another, and I'll never forgive CoP for making me suffer through an entire summer to get the goddamn ring.

Aldo, however, is love!

142. I think it's awesome that you familiarized yourself with the source material and I would welcome you heartily were I remotely involved in the fandom. ^^

107.) STELLAN FREAKIN' SKARSGAAAAAAARD! He's so goddamn sexy. <3 I'm glad he's finally getting more attention, now, thanks to MM. He completely deserves it.

108.) Same here. I do like Anette- but, MAAAARCO. \m/

102: There's already too many countries. Are you seriously serious? You really want your country athro'd and made fun of? uhhhh.... okay I guess.

I'm just saying there's a lot of countries that have been ignored, not just SoAme. >_>

I don't think it's really a 'cool enough' thing. I'll admit, I'm no history buff, but it IS a comic focusing on the World Wars.. >_>

Drummers rule. I've always loved drummers too. They're just so physical (and sexual).

136) Lolwut? I saw infinitely more "Awww, plz 2 b friends tiem again guise? =(" than "zomg teh buttsex!" In short, your f-list sucks. Besides, it's not like mutual hatred ever stopped shipping. =P Also, you're thinking too hard about Code Geass' plot. Stop it. You'll feel better this way. (And theorycrafting this series means nothing because it runs off of LOL TWEESTs. It's just an exercise in futility.)

149) I'd Kenny. (Poor kid could use it...)

156) You want to suck your husband's blood?

[identity profile] etherealtsuki.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
102. I wonder where the South American countries went too....

113. I always felt useless shades were useless for some odd reason.

124. Amy Jo Johnson is in another show?! Sweet. She'll always be my fave Ranger despite Kimberly being ditzy (and not a little)....

125. ;_; It was emotional...

136. Actually it was planned all along that they'll join together near the end, so no.

162. Dude, Reborn and the rest of the Arcobaleno are awesome. But if abursdity isn't your thing, keep way.

171.
1) Well, slash was defined as male homosexual ficition because it was a lot of it and it stuck like that. Femslash was made to distinguish itself from that.
2) Because it's fun, I guess?
3) I agree with you there.
4) I guess it revived their love of Batman, I don't know. But I think someone being a Harley to a Joker is strictly a fantasy.
5) True of kink and fetish. But it depends on the dream if the person was aroused.
6) Yaoi distinguishes it for being an anime term, although the term is outdated in Japan and reserved to fanmade stuff. And shota =! pedophilia.
7) Nah, people will still feel weird since this is the type of that you don't normally talk with people with.

136. Oh, you poor, deluded soul. Do you really believe that plausibility has fuckall to do with buttsex? Fangirls don't need an excuse. This turn of events has nothing to do with fanservice and everything to do with the writers trying to resolve the 'friendship' theme that's been running throughout this season. Badly, I might add.

173. Xanatos/Stark. Hell yeah, I'd read it.

btw N!S 2

[identity profile] rainbow-cnxn.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Lol. Code Geass can always get worse. Always. Never underestimate its ability to make you predictably facepalm in new and creative ways. Take Turn 22, for example. =P

107. THIS. When my friends ogled the younger dude (the fiancee?) I was all over the dads. Om nom nom.
113. Shutter shades. They aren't expensive are they? o_O

[identity profile] xanykaos.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
103. Lol. Sounds cool. Dunno who it is, but sounds cool.

105. I remember back when I played Blue, that I rather desperately wanted to be able to chat with Lance. I even put off playing against him until I could do it alone, just so I could pretend that, unlike the other bosses, we got some banter in. Name like Lance, looks hot, trains dragons? Keen!
...too bad my little step-brother kind of ruined the name for me.

110. I realised recently (thank you Transformers:Animated) that how much I love a "children's" show is directly proportionate to how dark they're willing to go. That said...there is no better ending I can think of than the one Aang gave the war. Because honestly, it was a struggle. The odds against him being able to end it and still keep his soul in teact were almost impossible, and you felt that struggle, and it made it all the more beautiful. He had perfect reasons for feeling the way he did about nonviolence, it had been set up all through the series. The fact that ever single person was against him being able to do it, and that he had to fight against himself...look, it was just epic.
Now, me, I like ending things decisively. I would've been Sokka demonstrating on the Melon King what finishing meant. But --and I do not say this lightly-- a darker ending would've made Avatar lesser than what it was. Of all the shows, books, fandoms I've ever loved, Avatar is the closest that's ever come to perfect.

114. Mmm, Jayne. Always makes me think of a Doberman puppy.

116. Huh. Not that I know of. I hope not; it would hurt too much watching without Wash. It's just not fair to shift the whole dynamic of the cast like that in a movie and not even be able to do it in a series as intended.
There are comics. You can check those, I guess.

118. I think tl;dr as a summary of your own thing is fine, sort of like giving a thesis statement or something. I think responding tl;dr to something someone else (a friend?!) said is one of the rudest things I've heard (well, rude in general, passing to rudest if it's actually a person you know and consider a friend).

138. Mm, not the best reason to end a friendship, and yet, I think I can understand (especially if it was already rocky). That's really a lame outlook on things. ("Disgusting human?" Really?)

143. Y'know, technically, the Beatles are my oldest fandom, in that "John, Paul, George, and Ringo" were among my first words and that I grew up steeped in them in a way my sibs never did. But I am so so so glad that I just am not involved in the fandom at all. (The only friends I have in that fandom are sane, sane people who never seem to ship things in normal fandoms either).

144. Well. It's a movie. He's hot. It's truth. Sorry. BUT. In the reality of the situation, I can understand. I think one of my favourite fics involved him kissing a girl (to screw with her head) and her hating it, not the least because it tasted gross. Look at those teeth--when's the last time they saw a toothbrush? Or some Scope?

146. Awwww. Y'know, this kind of reminds me of "Who Wants to Be a Superhero" when Feedback got a chance to tell Stan Lee exactly what he meant to him. Until then, I didn't really-really care who won, but right then, I knew it had to be him (partially because he'd never come out of his house again otherwise, I was sure). We made fun, but lovingly, because at the same time, I thought it was wonderful that this fellow geek got to tell his childhood hero how much he had been to him.

164. Not even in the fandom, but one of the best secrets ever. Seriously. Points for presentation, cleverness, and originality both of secret and design. ... Y'know, I feel like we should have F!S awards or something.

171. Run, everyone, the fun police are here. Even if I tpta;;y agree with #6. Also, what do you mean, "Where were these people before TDK?" What, so if you love a fandom, you should be making secrets of it all the time or something?

[identity profile] alocin42.livejournal.com 2008-09-08 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I've fics where Nolan!Joker is described as smelling variously of peppermint, gasoline, sweat, old sweat, BO, unwashed hair, leather, tobacco, gun oil and greasepaint. This is the first time I've heard of good ol' sweat, piss and shit.

Personally I think he looks like he might smell a little sweaty when he's in full-on smudged greaspaint, just-been-beaten-up-by-Batsy mode, but he doesn't look particularly unwashed at other times. His clothes are pretty neat and tidy. I'll vote for gasoline and greasepaint myself.

ZOMIGOSH XANATOS!!!

Even only knowing as little about Tony Stark as I do...wow...yeah.

Except the only thing I can ship with Xanatos is Xanatos/Fox. Bless, they're villains who made each other better people. But still not too nice. ^_^

*baaaaawww*

107. That's an unusual euphemism for making a salad. Why would you even use a euphemism for making salad either?

113. They're everywhere; shouldn't be hard to get a pair.

123. As it should be.

127. Kira's only 5'6"?

Damn. Kira's kind of short. Jon Stewart is taller.

133. Me too. Or just fandomology.

137. Dominica is a pretty name. :-)

141. An IQ of nearly 200 would obliterate any chance of that girl having a normal social life. Though smelling like strawberries might help.

149. I'm sure it'd be one of his favorite deaths.

167. I felt the same way after a three-day ban. :-\ Being b& sucks.
