It was pointless to kill 24 (he has no real bearing on anything plot-wise), so his death was pretty gratuitous. I guess they meant for it to be funny, but I got really into the character and sympathized with him, so obviously I was shocked by his death. It seemed like something that was just done to shock and piss off a bunch of people due to those reasons.

105 Dr. Girlfriend is a cartoon character with a very stylized body type and fucking Gwyneth Paltrow is a STICK. Whenever I see "thinspiration" posts like this it's fairly obvious that the poster is probably already a healthy size, because people who actually need to lose weight aspire to look like more normally-shaped individuals.
