118. To be honest, I don't think I've seen more than a handful of StarGate Atlantis episodes to compare, but damn, Cube is awesome. Props to your taste.

159. Adding to the chorus and the list that's been growing in the comments... the guy even ripped off Bruce Coville. Bruce Coville. Fail, okay? Just... fail.

123) ...You know, I kinda agree :/

160) DeliGaku secret! :D

Please explain your logic.

110) I loved this arc so much, and I think Watsuki handled it well -- much better than I would have expected. (Also, OMG ENISHI, you poor fucked up kid.... D: )

141) ....ew.

101. Don't worry, nine times out of ten, the inspiration probably wears off after a little while. People want to change, so they see inspiring things and say they are inspired, but they don't really do anything about it as often as they say they do.

106. Trust me, I've heard of weirder fantasies involving TMNT. Besides, pizza being sexy is nothing to be ashamed of. Pizza should get more love.

[identity profile] theorygirl.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
109. Man oh, I used to watch that all the time when I was a kid! I even wrote about it (http://rabbithutchiscalling.blogspot.com/2008/06/pontofel-pock-where-are-you.html) in my blog! In fact, I know that at one point in time, there was a guy on youtube who made music videos from that special. I don't know if they're still up, though.

Well she doesnt have much breast, so she could be naturally thin. I read once that as a child, she won a food-eating contest, so it looks to me that Olivia is one of those I-can-eat-like-three-without-gaining-a-pound chicks.

O yea, and i'd hit it too.

I'd hit it so hard i would CRITICAL HIT hit.

Hey, it's Olivia baby, a single stare from those most crazy eyes would give me an orgasm

118. What movie is that? Is that Cube?

123. Good job, you're an elitist schmuck. Have fun with that.

154. I have no idea who that is...but judging by that picture, he face is pretty terrifying.

159. Old news, bb.

154. I think it's Sarah Jessica Parker... I think she looks like a horse and can be easily confused with Aunt Petunia from HP because also looks like a horse.

158

YES YES YES!!! Although I do enjoy the Cox/JD fan service

Get in line. The line is very long though. Seriously. There is no debate that he's the most handsome, charming and kindest of the Pythons. And he still looks hot.

[identity profile] malik-chan.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
105. Okay, who drew Dr. Girlfriend there? And do they have more Venture Bros. art?

154. Is that Sarah Jessica Parker? Because if it is: NEIGH!!!

You mean that beauty is subjective, and people who disagree with you exist? I never knew.

113 - I LOVE THE CORE. EVERY ACTOR in it is AMAZING.

154 - Me, too!

142

[identity profile] yachinami.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
142 - I love Chibiusa! She's by far my favorite character in the series, and I was rather miffed she got shafted in Sailor Stars.

But yes, I feel pretty "rawr" whenever there's a comment about hating Chibiusa, and if she's even mentioned anywhere at all, 9 times out of 10 it's in the context of how much this person hates her. Opinions, yadda yadda and all that, but it's still tiring.

[identity profile] honeysuckle-raw.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
102. Twilight's only a "Harry Potter fix" in that people seem to be really too lazy to go out and find literature that is as good (or much better) than Harry Potter. They just follow the screaming, drooling fancrowds.

104. THANK GOD NOT EVERYONE IN THE WORLD IS INSANE. The man is completely, hopelessly fug.

128. It makes me feel better about my "boring" fantasy of an intelligent, dignified, kind, bespectacled professor-type dream man. I guess the cliche prince charming isn't really a cliche anymore?

[identity profile] sanae.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
123. Weeeell... I know a lot of people like series like that just because the fandoms are so big. Or they, you know, think they're good.

142. People hate Chibiusa? Well, I knew they did, but... that much? But... she's so cute. ;_;

163. Haha, the bottom middle one. That is some serious pastede right there.

104. Really? Wow. And no, I don't really find David attractive. I'd love to hang out with him though.

113. I saw Aaron for the first time in Erin Brockovich but didn't know it was him until I saw Thank You for Smoking. I loved him in both movies and am happy he's finally getting recognition but he needs more! And I liked him more than the Joker too.

130. The fact they're totally heterosexual life partners in real life and the movie makes me love both duos even more.

141. I still haven't seen this movie and I really want to.

155. People are freaking out about this?

159. I heard about Paolini ripping off of this series among so many others. What a little fucktard.

135 159 164

[identity profile] jlh.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
135 You can, but you have to make it for yourself. You have to try a little bit harder than others to make and hold on to friendships (though not ones that are bad for you, only the good ones) and work on not seeing being alone as being safe, in a way.

159 You'd think he would have ripped off someone who did something a little more interesting. I mean, I read them all (yeah, all ten) and yeah, they were engrossing, but the stereotyping definitely got old after a while. And his vocabulary was really not extensive.

164 Sometimes I wish that too, but really you end up with stuff that doesn't appeal to you anyway. It's the dynamic; you're interested in different dynamics than others, and so even if all those people were writing your ship, they'd write about aspects of it that you don't find interesting anyway.

127

(Anonymous) 2008-09-14 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
me too. where is he? :(

144

[identity profile] vongroovy.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, me too. #1 all time biggest crush! I love him so ridiculously much.

123

[identity profile] rekallthegreat.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
123. Just because something is popular doesn't mean it's bad. Even the most popular series were unknown at some point. And yes it is possible to be a fan of popular series before it became popular (ex. Code Geass; I remember back when the fandom was a grand total of 20 people and no one who wasn't a CLAMP fan had even heard of it).

re: 123

[identity profile] dissident.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)

Hey sunshine, not everyone on the planet has 24 hours a day to comb through all the animes in existence to find "their own" kind. Whatever that's even supposed to mean.

143

[identity profile] xanya.livejournal.com 2008-09-14 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)

103/117 - I could not think of better role models than those men. FTW!

113 - You superiority complex will just run fandom for all of us. Who cares if you were a fan with The Core. I was a fan since Erin Brockovich and with In the Company of Men. Does that make me an elitist? No. I would rather he have more fans, who research his work and see what he has done, then nothing at all.

116 - This just cracked me up. It makes me yearn for the days of Mario 3.

128 - Agreed!

143 - *sighs* agreed.

153 - LOL! Shipping a Ship! HA

154 - Carrie Bradshaw is my voice of reason!

159 - Paolini = No talent ass-clown. I guess it must be nice when your parents know publishers.
