Mine started today too (after being three days late). Been taking ibuprofen to combat the horror.

No, no, you misundestand. I am on Prozac. Prozac works great for me. My pain doctor wants to switch me to Cymbalta because it supposedly helps with pain as well as depression. About 6 months ago he had me do the same thing. That time we switched because of my period pain. Only it didn't work for my depression, didn't help for the period pain, and made me suicidal.

today he was again trying to push to switch me from Prozac to Cymbalta. And kept pushing until I was really firm that I wanted to stick with Prozac and that Cymbalta had given me suicidal thoughts. He wouldn't take a simple no.

You could be sad about both.

Speaking of the museum fire, though, this might be an unpopular opinion but I was annoyed that people were more upset about the loss of a woman’s skull and some big hunk of space rock than the loss of recordings of rare to extinct indigenous languages and indigenous artefacts that can never be replaced. I know feelings aren’t rational though. You can’t “make” people feel sad about an event that you think deserves more sadness than another event.

Oh, sorry! When you said "other antidepressant" I thought you were talking about a new one you hadn't tried before. Yeah, if you've already tried Cymbalta and it gave you nasty side effects then you definitely shouldn't go back on it and I'm surprised your doctor would even suggest it. When I told my doctor that the Welbutrin was making me sick she put a note in my file saying to not prescribe that for me again.

I'll substitute "inequity" for "injustice" with regards to the wealthy, if that makes any difference to you. But the fact that we live in a society that is constructed in a way that allows people to become billionaires at the expense of everyone else, and where our ability to accomplish important social tasks is then entirely dependent on the whims of those billionaires, I think that is a deeply inequitable and bad state of affairs. realistically, it's probably true that more people care about Notre Dame than cared about the Brazilian museum.

Yeah, Notre Dame is a world-famous landmark. Pretty much everyone knows about it regardless of where they live - it's like the Statue of Liberty or the Great Wall of China or Big Ben or the pyramids. It's the kind of thing you have a certain connection to even if you've never been there because it's just so iconic.
