LGW, YES. I thought I was alooone. OP, you are awesome.

I know what you mean, too. I love the series to pieces, but I'm not too eager to delve too deep into the fandom. I usually keep it between myself and a few friends that I've managed to get to read the books... but at the same time, I'm not afraid of it. The outskirts of it are generally tame, from what I've seen. It's not hard to have an intelligent conversation with some of the other fans. :) So don't worry~. (I think the fact that it requires actual READING may contribute to this fact.)

But I think in the end, I agree-- I kind of enjoy them to myself, too. I don't know, it's kind of odd. Maybe it's like in Odin Sphere. I just feel like Alice (hurr) sitting up in the attic reading the books. Makes it feel more enjoyable on a personal level.

Hell no. Roslin is a religious fanatic who doesn't seem to have any moral qualms about executions or acting the dictator. Do I love her? Absolutely. But I would never vote for her.

You know, I do agree with you to some extent.

Miaka isn't the plain type of Mary Sue, but she is still kind of one, but I do hate it when people bitch about how much they hate her, only if they are talking solely about Miaka.

I can understand hating how every guy seemed to fall in love with her, but never, never hate her for being useless and dependent. She's not from Konan, she's from Japan. How would any of you handle being thrown into a strange land that was nothing like the advanced world we live in? Hell, people who go visit other countries are a little dependant on either tour guides, translation books, and the what not.

Miaka did pretty damn well on her own for being thrown into a strange world, let alone a different country.

132 - as I was reading that I felt like a lot of it could apply to me. Only I don't have a RL friend like you. I like to think that if I did, I would put them above being online. I'm just here a lot because I have nothing much in my rl and this is my socialising place.

Once I realized that people honestly didn't care if I goofed up once or twice (or way, way more), that people who would make good friends aren't watching everything you do, waiting for the moment you mess up, that was when I finally began to really got to be myself and make good friends. ^^

OP, are you me? I've been thinking exactly the same thing the other day :D In fact, I've dreamed up ten million beautiful death scenes for her in the last few weeks, though I'm not sure if I want her to live or die. I like Nina a lot, but if her death were to bring fans on to the world, I wouldn't mind as much. Most of all, I'm hoping she'll redeem herself somehow.

131: Oh my god, if I had a friend who dissed my cosplay because I'm chunky... I'd probably push them off a cliff somewhere. SRSLY. I am chubby and have no discernable waistline. I'm not ROUND, but... sturdy. Anyway, I LOVE cosplay, but I know I look horrible. Unfortunately, all my fave characters are thin and fantastic. The only character I could ever cosplay with any success would probably be Yomiko Readman from R.O.D. We've both got long hair and glasses, and her outfit is something I could carry off. *sigh* My first cosplay getup was Sakura's dress and shorts... y'know. Yeah, I'm a Narutard. So sue me. Anyway, I was SO proud, cuz I pulled it off OVERNIGHT and it looked SO cool. Well, it did on the hanger. Once I saw pix of myself in it, I wanted to burn it. *sigh* Is it shallow that one of the reasons I want to lose weight is not to be healthy, but so I can look dead sexy when I finally cosplay as Lust from FMA?

He amused me and inspired a few fanfic blurbs that were sheer genius. But... I don't get the wank on this show. Hell, I just don't get the SHOW. Sorry, guys, I'm slow. ;)

117. I've played FFXI for years now. XD I wish they'd make an offline version of it so people could enjoy the story. Then I realized, if they did, everyone would quit FFXI. XD The stores in each expansion are really wonderful, though.
