The only time I don't are when they never get licensed (Macross F won't be licensed due to a myriad of reasons, LOGH will never be licensed) or if it turns out I hate the show about a few episodes in, and in that case I delete the shit off my computer.

157. Okay, I was with you (in terms of understanding your secret, not agreeing with you) until the last line, and then I was just confused. First of all, not every anime/manga fan has to learn Japanese -- a lot of them don't. Second, there's Japanese bandom/RPS too. Do you not get that because it involves another language, or do you get it because it's real people? Third, the "I don't want to have to learn another language" thing wouldn't apply to fandoms like, say, Harry Potter, which isn't RPS either.

157. Knowing Japanese isn't a prerequisite to getting into anime/manga fandom; dubs, subs, fansubs/fandubs, and scanslations exist for a reason. Moreover, there's plenty of non-bandom Western fandoms that you could get into if anime just isn't your thing.

I like G/S, though I don't actually ship it. More of a slash shipper of that show, actually.

Regardless, personally I think it was during Warrick's addiction that the show went horribly wrong. And by that I mean HORRIBLY WRONG. So yeah, I'm with you in hoping it can redeem itself this season.

143. omg yes. females in shonen manga have always driven me crazy in a bad way, so having awesome female characters in the fma manga is definitely great.

144. i... don't think i *hated* the show, but i didn't get it at all. i don't see what's so great about it, and i just think that as it went on, it got more and more trippy. i remember thinking that there was just a lot of gratuitous bible references and that the producers were going on higher and higher doses of lsd or something as the show progressed.
