I can't help it if your own logic (people don't care about Tormund killing innocent people because he's not as big as Dany, but they do care about Ramsay doing it because reason) doesn't hold up.

People don't care. They just don't. Accept it.

You can whine about how unfair it is and how hypocritical it is, but: No One Cares About Tormund's Crimes. Because he doesn't matter, understand? It's hard, I know, but think about it.

People care about the characters who matter to the over-all narrative. The characters whose very existence moves the world. That's Jon Snow. That's Sansa and Arya Stark. And that's Daenerys Targaryen, The Motherfuckin' Queen of Dragons.

And when a character burns babies to death? It kind of makes less genocidal actions not as horrific, and much easier to swallow. Simply put, it's about context, sweetie. And it's about scale.

Because his crimes affected important characters everyone cared about, and that made Ramsay relevant.

Without that he's a nobody and nobody cares what happens to him; he's just another over-the-top violent sociopath in Westeros, of which there are thousands.

Shit, people don't even care about Ramsay's other victims!

It's no coincidence no one mentions Ramsay feeding his step-mother and his newborn brother to the dogs. Or the scores of people Ramsay flayed alive. Because no one cares about those people. Even Osha's death was barely a blip in fandom. To most fans, it's all about Ramsay raping Sansa and mutilating Theon. It's all about what he's doing to torture their faves today.

But people care about Daenerys. What's done to her and what she does, matters. She lifts her eyebrow entire fucking nations fall. She that bitch, okay? And if you are a fan who's been invested in her and her journey, then her burning babies to death is going to rock your fucking world. It's going to affect your relationship to the whole series.

Tormund isn't going to bring that response. Ramsay's not going to unless it's related to main characters. Because by themselves:

So if Ramsay had flayed people and sicced dogs on his stepmother and newborn brother, but hadn't hurt Theon (who murdered two children himself) and Sansa, people would stan him like they did Tormund?

And what about Euron Greyjoy? Why wasn't he stanned for like Tormund was, then? He was funny and he didn't hurt any important characters until his fight with Jaime in the finale.

Yes. They were starting to stan and ship him with Theon. Ramsay's early Theon torture was at acceptable levels, I guess. Then the emasculation/castration happened and that all but killed the ship--for the most part. I've seen (Not Read!) the post mutilation Theon/Ramsay fics.

After that he became the bad guy everyone couldn't wait to see killed as deliciously as possible.

Euron Greyjoy?

Dafuq you bringing up Euron Greyjoy for? Euron Greyjoy was barely ever a fucking character to begin with. How many goalposts you gonna keep pushing back?

People liked Ramsay as a bad guy, they didn't stan him like they did Tormund. And the people who shipped him with Theon have been shipping them since the books, it's not like they didn't know how bad he was.

And you're the one who keeps moving the goalposts.

You say people who like Tormund overlooked his crimes because he wasn't a big character.

When you're asked why Ramsay didn't get the same treatment you say it's because he hurt the big characters.

Then when you're asked why Euron didn't get the same treatment, you say he doesn't count because he isn't a big character, which is the same argument you've used to justify Tormund's popularity. So which is it?

And while we're at it, both Tyrion and Theon are rapists in the books (in addition to Theon's child murder), and Tyrion strangled Shae while she was defenseless and pleading with him. People still like their characters. Your original argument was "People still support Dany because feminism lol" like people haven't forgiven or overlooked other characters doing horrible things when they're fans.

First, or is it again? Nobody cares about Euron. Guy kills a dragon and the most fandom can muster in response is a yawn.

Secondly, Tormund's crimes are easy to overlook because he only hurt people no one cares about, and a lot of it was implied and happened off screen.

And then there's his crush on fandom's darlings: Jon Snow (we all know it's true) and Brienne. Fandom will ignore a lot of shit if the fan service is tight.

I don't get how any of this is so hard for you to understand? You seem to have zero common sense, and you act like you don't now how fandom works. I was kidding before, but are you really a kid?

Your lack of fandom experience might explain why you're so out of touch and confused.

And if Tormund had gone 'round the bend like Daenerys did in the finale they wouldn't be all over the internet saying, "Go, Tormund! Kill more innocent people, and put some stank on it!"

Daenerys fans? They think just because the world didn't fall at her feet and worship her, every baby she roasted during her fit of entitled rage was justified. Fuck, they think she should have killed MORE.

And in their minds anyone who was horrified at her actions just can't handle a woman with power using her power, even if it's in the most depraved way imaginable.

It's like reading fan mail to serial killers.
