138. I secretly really like this ship as well. It's hard to find any fic that doesn't completely butcher their personalities, though, or I'd probably like it even more. I have secret plotbunnies about Neville's Hogwarts office/rooms being where Severus' used to be, sort of this posthumous getting-to-know-and-like-him-through-what-he-left-behind. Sigh. My brain is probably a scary place to outside observers.

ROFL WAT?! People are saying ONE PIECE is the best Shounen series ever? Like, outside OP fansites? Please. Point me to these people.

I've been in the One Piece fandom for going on five years now. I mod the LJ comm, and used to be an administrator on the Arlong Park forums. Over all, the fandom has been the least rabid of any I've ever been in. Doesn't mean it doesn't have the bullshit, it most definitely does, and I have the stories to prove it. But it has been far less.

More importantly - I hear more people talk shit about this series than anything else. SOOOO many people disrespect because they don't like the artwork, or think because the first storyarc is silly that there is no drama or story to it. If the One Piece fans are loud, it's because they are always being drowned out by people who think Naruto and Bleach are the ZOMGBESTTHANGEVAR!!!111one.

It took me 7 years to really get into One Piece, so I can relate to those who don't find it extremely appealing at first. And while in my opinion, it IS the best shounen series ever, I can understand if people don't get into it. I mean, not everyone likes everything. But I will say one thing - Oda can tell a fucking story! One Piece has story twists and turns far more often than Bleach and Naruto. (And I *like* Bleach and Naruto!) Oda will take things from volume 11 and bring them back in volume 45. And he'll do this REPEATEDLY, not just once or twice. I LOVE that about him! I wish more authors would do that!

Anyway, TL;DR - One Piece gets a lot of shit for being what it is, and while I do not by any means hold it against anyone who does not like it...It is the only series that has CONSISTENTLY held my attention for the past five years.

That's stalking. If he makes you feel scared, if he makes you doubt your own emotions (because you think you *should* be feeling some other way), then stay away. Your instincts know it better than you do.

173 - People are weird, I guess. But I mean, that thing had a *~grand finale~*, one that you can't really undo.

Actually they could. There were a lot of unfinished plotlines.
But that aside, it's a cartoon on Nickelodeon. They're not gonna bring it back.

169. Rape? I don't know about that, but there is an unsettling lack of bottom!Brian in the show. There are some good fics in the fandom, but they're normally sugary, fluffy pieces of crap.

173: Yeah... the same thing is happening with Avatar. And the crazy thing is, the CREATORS ended it, not Nick. They always only planned a certain number of seasons.

But YES. I seriously cannot be the only one who thinks Wilson is the master manipulator of the show. Time after time ("Detox", "Histories", the Tritter arc, "Alone", "Mirror, Mirror", "Frozen"/"Don't Ever Change"/"No More Mr. Nice Guy" etc), we've seen him as the one pulling House's strings. House is obvious about his manipulation - he bullies and threatens and blackmails - but Wilson? He's smart enough to play everything close to the vest. Plus, I have a thing for secretly-dark characters. Wilson would be the best. EVER.

XD I like being able to click, say, the "spiral ~suiri no kizuna~" tag in my writing journal and see everything I've written involving Spiral, instead of having to track all over to different communities and leaf back through pages if they don't have tags. It helps me keep track of which comms I'm a part of, too, because I always tag linked entries with the appropriate comm.

And it's a bit egotistical, sure, but I like having all my comments on something in one place. XD; I'm not trying to beef up lists or anything like that; I just like my writing organized and in one place. XD;

That said, yes, I do agree that wherever the fake cut leads to should be publicly accessible without registering. XD; That's just annoying.
