While I personally don't mind all the fanart of ZEX gaying around and the like, I can definitely see where you're coming from :B I'm not really into shipping, myself, and it can get pretty frustrating when it seems like that's all fandom tends to focus on. What I do is just let them have their fun and then work on my own fanworks with my own ideas on what the characters are like and so on, and then post those with maybe a little blurb on my ~*vision*~ (without mentioning my annoyance or anything to avoid loldrama), and just try to kind of shed some light on my own point of view to encourage other people to make things in a similar vein, which will encourage more people, and so on and so on. IT WORKS!

134 - It's not just about patience. It's also having NO patience for censorship and terrible dubbing. Honestly, if the American releases were actually of the same quality as the fansubs, I'd pay for them, but I won't pay for something that makes me want to stab myself in the ears or treats me like I'm 7 years old and can't stand the sight of blood.

Have you even seen an anime on DVD in the last five years? With extremely few exceptions (avoid DiC and 4-Kids like the plauge) they are released uncut, with a choice of either dubbed or *licenced* subtitles, with high-quality dubbed performances.

I have an extreme love for all of his movies, even the ones that everyone else bashes. Especially Lady in the Water...

But I think that The Village is definitely one of my favorites of his. I need to watch it again...I thought the cinematography (...sp?) was just so beautiful.
