The Fandom tends to hang out at SheroesCentral, SheroesFans, Steelsings, and there used to be this really cool place called The Dancing Dove that's been dying for some time, but produced really excellent fanfiction.

If you like Numair, Daine, or The Immortals books in general, ElspethElf (http://www.fanfiction.net/~elspethelf) writes really amazing D/N fanfiction, and most of her Favourites list is amazing. And... actually, I could go on for weeks about this fandom, so uh, reply if you want to know...? XD Or I'll shut up now!

I honestly don't understand why anyone likes the epilogue.
It really doesn't have as much to do with crack-pairings as you apparently like to think. Most people I know who hate it hate it on a purely literary basis. It has no point. It does not, in fact, actually answer any questions except for what their kids' names were. Who would marry who is a foregone conclusion, much as I still wish R/Hr hadn't been canon-confirmed, just so I could imagine that they eventually grew the heck up and found a nice healthy relationship with someone, anyone else. BUT. We knew who the pairings were. It served no purpose. It didn't tell us what they did, how the Wizarding World had fixed itself, what was different/the same now. The writing on it was of poor quality--written way way back in the beginning, and it showed.

And hey, here' something you may not understand--a lot of people couldn't give a flying poo about Harry or the Trio. Heck, screw them, a person with a brain could suss out "and they lived happily ever after." Initially, I was quite peeved that there wasn't even a mention of how George was doing (not so much anymore. WoG is bad enough, I don't need it in the books that George spent the rest of his life in a slightly creepy, author-admitted unhealthy relationship).

"Why wouldn't you want them to have a happy ending?"

Really, who says they wouldn't, without the epilogue? Maybe we just thought the books should end gracefully, instead of with that vague clunker.

But then, if you think Albus Severus is an appropriate name for a boy in the 90's, well..*shrug* no accounting for taste.

Meh, I admit that I feel loads more comfortable reading fics with adults or aging up the characters. 167. Your using the term wrong. Where in the world is the Gary Stuism, seriously? While I've been betting on Spanner to die soon, I don't think there should be a character death until they offically become mafioso. People are already complaining it's getting too dark for their tastes and killing a major character can negatively impact the series. But if a major character is going to die anytime soon, chances are it's Reborn.

Honestly, I like character deaths and all, but it doesn't make a story better.

Too Big #2: Because it was badly written and totally unneccesary? I despise most epilogues in the future because they can usually ruin a show (see Digimon), there are few that I loved (see KareKano). And nice try thinking it's only slash fans who were disappointed, all of my friends were disappointed by that and they don't even participate in the HP fandom (and I don't really either).
