LOL, everything in this secret is wrong.

1) The characters are more than just stereotypes like "tough guy" and "airy guy." (Fye being described that way makes me lol and lol and lol.)
2) The characters do have arcs. You just ... clearly haven't gotten to them yet!
3) Yes because Kingdom Hearts was the first media ever with the concept of multiple worlds. And traveling. Let's just ignore every sci-fi book ever written.

I finally saw this movie over the weekend and I adored her. I saw the special features and I think part of why she was so believable had at least *a little* to do with editing and how real everything was to her (I mean she actually did think his name was Roy and he couldn't walk), but I still thought she did great. There were some really intense scenes and she was only 6. Love her!

And obviously, I love Lee Pace, too ;)

Also... no character arcs? Lol, yeah, okay. How about you keep reading? As things are now we've had at least 5 or 6 chapters of backstory just published in the last few weeks. Sure, it's COMPLETELY FUCKING BATSHIT INSANE backstory (although I gotta admit Fai's made me "wtf" more), but it's there all the same.

Honestly, though, Tsubasa's biggest selling point is the cameos from other CLAMP series. If it weren't for that... well, tbh, I pretty much just read it for those cameos (I NEED MY X FIX, CLAMP, WRITE MORE OF THAT) and the xxxHolic tie-ins.

And yeah, CLAMP's newer art style IS a lot different from their other works, and can be off-putting until you get used to it (though I have to admit it works better in xxxHolic than it does in Tsubasa, but maybe that's just me). That being said, if you want to see the best of CLAMP's art you really need to check out Cardcaptor Sakura and X.

161. I agree with you totally. It seems to me that a lot of fandom only sees the strength in female characters who are tough and confident. The problem with that is this... not all women are tough or confident, myself included. I identify much more with characters like Orihime who need character growth and find quiet strength that "ZOMG, I KICK ASS!" Not that I don't respect that too... it's just different.
