Who are you, so I can worship you for even remembering this series? Did you watch Geordie Racer too? And The Badger Girl? They were complete fail compared to this. ♥

I'm surprised there are so many comments about what I thought was a v v tiny "fandom" - I underestimated the cultural impact of Look & Read! I only really remember TTDE; evidently none of the others appealed to me age 5/6/whatever. I recently found the theme tune as an mp3; ahh nostalgia...

This secret was so sweet. :(

148. All of them are pretty bad.

The 1st one's has not bothered with anatomy at all (I get the feeling the artist's young and is just starting out).
The 2nd one has nice fingers but the face and neck are all wrong and s/he has placed waaaaaaay too much effort into the hair (I'm guessing s/he recently found a hair tutorial or something).
The 3rd one's generic as hell.
The 4th one's generic as hell.
The fifth one's arms are cringe inducing (bandages: they do not wrap down to the bone). There are too many sharp light spots and that results in the person looking like she's made of plastic or silicone. Those eyelashes are acceptable only if the artist is making a homage to Amy Winehouse.
The artist for the sixth one did not appear to have studied their neck anatomy in relation to perspectives. The main problem is the line of the left side of the neck which should've went under the left side of the chin not on the right side.
The last one's ok-ish (slightly less generic) but the hairline is way too unnatural.

Everyone has placed too much emphasis on the face, eyes, and the hair... and not much on anything else. Also, lot of laziness with the noses. :|

I don't like the way any of them are colored, either.

I enjoy that there is almost no difference in quality between the two groups. Usually when someone makes this complaint, one artist is leaps and bounds ahead of the others, but here ... not so much.

148. I don't get it how you would define "good" and "bad", necessarily. All the ones in your secret are nicely drawn. I really don't see a difference. 90% of all anime art looks the same, imo.

146. Um. What is with people who just don't get shipping. Actual fandom shipping usually has no bearing whatsoever on how the romance did or didn't play out in the canon (ie: fannon Lupin/Tonks was usually quite nice. Canon...it was a trainwreck). I think the Zuko/Mai was crap, but that's because after a season of her being a one-dimensional joke-character, I just can't accept her as being a human being--it doesn't gel. But really, overall, I think the romance was done very well, considering that romance itself was only a very small part of the plot.

I don't think so. I think that it, at least for me, made it feel more real. Like something was building in Ianto from the beginning. I dunno. I like to think that Ianto is more invested in that relationship then Jack is.
