I'm torn on Maka's dad, because on one hand he's obviously a loving father, but on the other hand he's obviously, well...gotten into that mess himself. And won't stop what drives her crazy in the first place.

It makes him a great character, though.

118 I enjoy any scenario which includes Ted and Andromeda Tonks.

146 First, telling people to get a life, not helpful. Get one yourself. Second, I find that there's more shipping in canons where the canon development of the romance is less than satisfactory, because there's more room for other ships. In canons where the romance is pretty tight, you don't get that as much, because you get it from canon. Sadly, most adventure/SFF genre stories pretty much suck when it comes to writing a competent romance. They sort of shove it in for tension or plot reasons, and don't think it through and hit the beats the way they do for the main plot. I don't think all the ships in Avatar are like this, but certainly Mai/Zuko and Aang/Katara could have been developed better.
