I love the Morgan and Garica flirty friendship - but I have no desire to see it become a romance. It would change the fun light hearted dymanic between the two.

The same goes for the other possible pairings. I love the fact that this show as men and women who are friends - and even if they don't seem to have any real social life I like that they are not looking to hook-up with each other.

I agree with you there. fandomsecrets has shown some of the utter worst of the Simon/Nia fans. Is it so wrong that someone doesn't ship it, or ships something else? What's the big deal about someone not seeing their relationship as incredibly romantic? It's canon, so why take the extra effort to piss in other fan's cheerios?

I don't know who or what the Kamina Kult is, but the Gurren Lagann fandom can be annoying as hell because everyone wants to be right.

I have more fun buying fanart than I do going through the dealer's room these days. It's the only way I can seem to find things that are new and well done--not to mention, since I have a penchant for loving the more ignored characters, it's a nice reminder that at least someone else besides me remembers that character. This is not to say that I don't also support the original products or anything, because I do--but when the dealer's room does not have anything I want or haven't seen before, the artist's alley comes to the rescue.

There's also this to consider: If a fanartist just draws the character, that's not enough for me to shell out money for a print. The image has to be well done, meaning in addition to being aesthetically pleasing, it also has to have something of a background to make it stand out, or be funny, or it can be a very dramatic image--but it can't be just the character, or a shot of the character on a poorly done background. I'm paying for the artist's input just as much as I am paying to have an awesome image of a favorite character. Usually, when the fanart interests me enough, I also start looking at the original work to see if it's just as well done--and then I buy that too.

tl;dr--I get what you're saying, but I still enjoy and will support fanartists that impress me with their level of skill at creating fanservice.

126 -...Considering the usual dirty secrets that pop up when a politician starts gaining some spotlight, I doubt cosplay is gonna seriously hinder your chances at an office, should you want to run for one. I'd rather have a clean cosplayer in office than a corrupt embezzler.

105. The first watch made me feel more betrayed than anything; with Mytho kind of just up and leaving Tutu at the drop of a hat. But honestly, despite everything she did for him, I don't think Tutu needed a prince as much as Rue did. Ahiru never needed rescuing in the first place; she was the one doing the rescuing. I find it hard to believe some people still hate on Rue for, well, anything, but I guess they do.
