125. Same here, anon. While I never hated GX per se, I was rather indifferent to it up until around a year and a half ago. I had been exposed only to the dub version (and wasn't exactly keen on it) when I watched a few Japanese episodes. It was love at first sight -- that's the only way I can hope to describe it. The series just sunk its talons into me and it hasn't let go yet. I can't say exactly why -- but I do know that I like it better than DM or what I've watched of 5Ds.

Perhaps it's because, most of the times, it's simply itself -- not struggling to be 'hip' or 'cool', as seems to be the case with 5Ds.

And agreed in relation to the fandom. While I don't like to generalize, most of those that I've seen have been less than open-minded to the opinions of others, seeming to derive quite a bit of pleasure in mocking something just because they didn't happen to like it, with little regards for what others may think (not naming forums or individual people, since I've had enough wank and drama on my head to last me a life-time ^^)

Seriously speaking, I have a habit to gravitate towards small fandoms -- or to prefer more obscure characters in large ones. It's not something that I do on a conscious level, though it may have some connection to the fact that I've always had a soft spot of sorts for the underdog.

I'd say to just enjoy what you enjoy, with little regard to the general preferences of others. They're not you, just as you aren't them. We could do with a little less conformism and flock-mentality, I think.
