I still think that in her codependant relationship with Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye got the short end of the stick.

In supplementary material, she's done better, but I'm still annoyed at how much Padme Amidala is ignored or shunted in the mainline stories.

Seconding the vote for Tonks. Haldir in the LOTR movies. Thranduil and Elrond just deserved better characterization.

Steve Rogers deserved a better ending. That was the happy ending for the old Steve. I can't buy that as a good ending for him at the point he was in Endgame.

Natasha deserved a funeral or at least a mention that her sacrifice was just as important as Tony's.

Anya from Buffy. I know the actress asked to die. But at least put it on-screen so we can see her heroic end. I love Anya.

Donna Noble. The ultimate example of characters who deserve better, IMHO.

Tonks, but also Lupin. I get it'd hurt more if one lived without the other, but i don't really see why they had to die in the first place.

LILLIE. I will never forgive Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon for what they did to her character arc in the name of pushing a "sympathetic abuser Lusamine" narrative

Pretty typical considering my user name but. Danielle in Danny Phantom.

Two eps and neither of them have her a permanent home. She's still living on the streets, and considering what she's been through, traumatized as hell. I know the show shows her flying off to explore the world. But dude come on. Her father figure just nearly murdered her horribly. Nobody goes thru body horror and comes out a-ok,least of all a twelve or thirteen year girl

The Darkling from the Grisha trilogy. He was the only interesting character in the series.

Baelfire/Neal Cassidy from Once Upon a Time deserved to live. Most all of his life sucked and he sacrificed himself for what ended up being no good reason.

Allura, always Allura. She suffered so much in the show, lost almost everything that mattered to her, and in the end she died, never got to be there when her people and planet were restored, didn't even get to say goodbye to Coran who was her family just as much as the other Paladins were. She deserved to live and be the queen of New Altea and I will forever be pissed at the show for killing her for no good reason.

Natasha deserved a funeral and more recognition for what she did, but as always Tony overshadows everything in collaborative movies, and I liked his arc in Endgame, but Natasha should have been acknowledged for more than a 2 min scene(if that).

Another echo for Tonks deserving better too, and Lupin tbh, he had a shit life, the both of them deserved to raise their kid in the peace they fought for.

Abbie Mills, that show went downhill so fast as it was, but man she did not deserve to be killed off and tossed out like that and for the show to try and continue without her. She was the second lead, it'd be like SPN killing off Sam or Dean and going 'welp nothing happened, now back to shenanigans'. Fucking boggling.

And there's probably a few minor characters from shows/movies who I think should have gotten better that I can't remember atm.

Logan from Black Sails. HIs was the only one who died without a real reason, and the narrative would have work much better with him standing by Flint at the end rather than his lookalike Dooley.

Secret 9 reminded me, Ishida from Bleach. I don't even care about ships, but having his part in the epilogue be 'Ishida, who has become a doctor the way the father he hated wanted him to, watches a wrestling match alone on a roof with none of his friends present' pissed me off so much. Not to mention the way the final arc basically shoved him out of frame for 9/10ths of it when he should have been a main player considering what was going on -- I was *so excited* when I saw we were getting an arc about the Quincy and then Ishida barely shows up and what he does get is stupid and pointless.

I think we all know that the holidays + booze + family members you wouldn't voluntarily socialize with if they weren't related to you can sometimes = World War III. What arguments do you and your family have and are you ready for battle or dreading trying to explain to asshole Uncle Steve why it's not okay to put children in cages just because they're brown?
